Good Hitch. A bit of a pain to install. Make sure you get some loctite for the bolts. After a trip a couple came loose and 1 totally fell off. I only lost the 1/2" nut. The bolt and rectangle washer was still in the frame. Was able to fish it out with a flexible magnet tool. I also threw another nylon lock bolt over everything along with the Red lock tight. Why they don't include the loctite and lock nuts is beyond me.

This hitch does fit my 2019 Ford Escape S perfectly. For some reason Amazon has it listed as will "not" fit. I double checked with the Curt website to verify model numbers and applications. Curt has it listed as a match. So I ordered the hitch and received it quickly. Installation isn't too bad as I have installed hitches on previous vehicles. But it is a very tight fit around the muffler a few expletives and some aggressive nudges and all was good. Used it a few times now and am happy. Very strong and sturdy. Works great.

It does NOT install easily on a 2019 Ford Escape. You need to know the secret technique to installation. Call the manufacturer as I told them the secret. Up to them to update the instructions with my information on how to install.

Fairly easy to install with one person but would have been quicker with two people. Durable and good strength.

The quality of this hitch and included hardware couldn't be better. Online video instruction are great. Included written instructions, had some errors as to socket sizes. Installation is not hard to do just requires some brute force. Don't try it alone.My only problem was that I had to send my first order back. These are not packaged well at all. The first one was delivered with the end of the hitch hanging out of a hole in the box. One of the side plates was actually bent. The replacement came with the box falling apart, but the hitch survived. I recommend examining the hitch closely, and counting hardware before installing. Thus 4 stars not 5.

So far - so good. Installation on 2017 Escape went well. Two existing holes in the car frame needed to be enlarged SLIGHTLY to allow insertion of washers and bolts but much less than suggested by Youtube videos.Would be nice if it were pre-drilled for mounting electrical connector. Cross tube is fairly thick and drilling and threading is not much fun.
