This does NOT fit a 2011 Subaru legacy! The mounting bracket arms are not long enough so don’t waste your time buying this and jacking up your car only to find out it won’t work.

Regardless of what Amazon told me, this doesn't fit a Subaru Legacy.

Excellent quality! Fit and finish is very nice and sits very close to the bumper with no gap like other brands have. Does stick out a little when looking down on it, but I'd assume that's because it's for Legacy or Outbacks and the outback has a larger rear bumper.Installed on a 2011 Legacy, you do have to enlarge some existing holes and drill new ones. Used a Dremel with a metal cutting bit to enlarge. The directions say to use a 17/32" bit to drill new holes, however a 1/2" works fine. Hitch looks great with the rubber receiver cover (#22272).Bought my hitch from Amazon because they had a good deal on an open box one, however you can usually find them cheaper at AutoZone when they have the 20% off coupons for online orders.

Very nicely made: good quality welds, beefy steel throughout, nice paint finish, round section cross-bar instead of square, good fish wire and instructions included, reasonably easy for me to install by myself with just a little help to hold it in place while installing the nuts onto the protruding bolts. Recommended for any compatible automobile.

Very nice receiver. I purchased this for my 2013 Subaru Legacy and it fit it perfectly. You do have to cut the heatshield for the exhaust, but it is extremely simple to do and the heatshield is very thin and easy to cut. If you have worked on a vehicle before this should be very easy to install on your own.

This is a very well built tow hitch. The quality is superb. You can tell it will last a lifetime.Installation was easy, after I read the instructions and videos several times. The installation is a little bit involved but with the proper tools, you can install it yourself and save you a few hundred bucks! When mounting the hitch, I propped on side of the hitch onto my toolbox to get some leverage. I then bolted one side on, and then the other side next.I want to note that this package does some with the bolt fishing wire - no need to purchase CURT 58400. This would have been nice to know, it was not in the description or any other location.Highly recommended.
