Fits very well on our 500X. Much heavier duty than it needs to be. Great hitch overall.When you expand the holes, be sure to check that the bolt head fits through as well as the lock blocks.

Looks fantastic, sturdy and works as intended. Had a mechanic install for $100. Much easier with a lift.

Soooo over all it’s great but I have a suggestions on install no drilling/cutting needed. You can remove your rear bumper cover and rebar. (10 mins) You can slide the bolts in with ease with your hands. No need to damage your structural integrity of your cartools needed-Phillips screwdriver-T 25 torque-small panel popper-7mm socket-13mm socketBolt location-Remove two black trim pieces from around wheel well-X2 7 mm under two black trim pieces-Inside the wheel well there are three Phillips. -Remove them left and right side.-Remove the two Torques at the tail lights left and right-Then the two torques below the lights on the top bumper cover-There are four torques across the bottom remove them.-Gently pull in the sides of the cover it should come off-Placed it somewhere safeThere are three 13 mm bolts holding the rebar on. On the left. And there are three holding the rebar on on the right

Warning to anyone with a 2019 Fiat 500x - this hitch kit does NOT fit. I called Curt, and even they weren’t aware of this. In 2019 Fiat modified the rear fascia (lower part of the bumper) so that the exhaust pipe no longer goes through it. Instead it comes out of the muffler and straight down - directly into the way of the cross bar for this hitch kit. It took me hours to find any information about this.I took my Fiat to an exhaust shop and had to have my tailpipe cut off and re-routed for this to fit.. If you have a Fiat 500x and your exhaust does not go through your bumper- you will have to do this too.Also, none of the kits that are stated to fit will actually fit this particular model of 2019 Fiat 500x out of the box. I’d suggest taking it to a hitch/rack install shop and getting their advice before purchasing this. The exhaust modification added a lot of extra cost and time to this install and Curt should amend their fit recommendations to notify customers of this problem.Otherwise the product itself is well built, and in happy with it after the modification of my exhaust. I’m not sure I would have bought it if I’d known I’d this issue beforehand. But it is what it is, and eventually I made it work. Most people would send it back - rerouting the exhaust is a lot of trouble to go through for an item that claims to fit out of the box.

The holes your supposed to use are way to small required not only a die grinder but almost a 2 inch drill bit also i spent probably an hour attempting this then ended up bring it to my local fiat dealer who took over 2 hours to get installed safely.

Bought this to install on a 2016 Fiat 500X AWD. The instructions provided were very detailed and include pictures of an actual 2016 Fiat 500X. Please note, to complete this install you are required to enlarge the frame mounting holes with a Die Grinder and rotary bit. You will need a compressor capable of about 4 SCFM @ 90PSI, a die grinder and some hardened bits for use with hardened steel. I used the XCSOURCE B1044 rotary bits set available here on Amazon and it worked perfectly. Also, the hitch weighs about 40 pounds and was very difficult to bolt on by myself, so grab a buddy.
