Bought this hitch and installed it to proper torque specs. 1st time trying it with 180# bike rack and it was obvious it was trash. Flexed at mounting points to body noticeably. This design is flawed. OEM Subaru hitch extends into frame rails and bolts more securely. Could not trust this hitch and ended up ruining our trip, didn't want to damage vehicle or lose bikes. Later put Subaru hitch on and it is perfect. Even has a better wiring harness and 4 and 7 pin connections that hook right up with proper body grommet this kit doesn't have.Contacted seller and Curt. Both played dumb and wouldn't refund and return. Clearly flawed design and they had no interest in listening on how to improve. Curt rep was a tool. Seller passed me on to Curt with no reasonable fix.Bottom line. Bought flawed design product. Curt and seller dropped the ball. I was stuck with crap product and had to buy OEM to get a safe and proper product. Worth every penny more for the Subaru hitch.I have used Curt hitches on a 2001 Sierra, 2005 Montero Limited, 2001 Suburban, 2003 Escalade. After this experience they lost my trust in their product and customer service for good.

Excellent! Dealership wanted to charge 800 to install. Did it myself with my 12 year old for just a little over 200$. Super easy to do. Watched a YouTube video first haha!
