- STRONG & SAFE: Your safety is our 1st priority. The skewers are very strong because they are made of heat treated Cromoly alloy. Weight: 98g = 0.21lbs. Anti-Theft locking skewer axle set.
- NON QUICK RELEASE: Prevent removing wheels by hands. You must use wrench tool (included) to remove the wheels. Light weight and more secure than regular quick release axles. Use the included special combination tool to lock/release the skewers.
- SPECIFICATION: Front Axle: 5mm x 110mm. Rear Axle: 5mm x 148mm. Seatpost Axle: 27mm.
- LONG LASTING: The skewers will be never broken or rusted. (Please apply some grease initially).

I needed to start leaving my bike locked up outside in downtown regularly, and these skewers have given me a little extra peace of mind. I have definitely had or heard of wheels or seats being stolen off of bikes, and this just adds a little extra time to achieving that, which might make it less worth it for a would-be thief. It would only take a hex wrench of the right size without the tool though - I'd feel better if it was something a little harder to come across like a star bit. (Edit: I apparently can't count - this requires a FIVE-sided wrench, which is what they provide, and which is definitely not standard tooling.) I'm still locking things up with my u-lock and cable locks.Outside of security concerns, I like that it makes things a little cleaner-looking, so I might consider using these on my other bikes.

these are easy to install. the tightening key works perfect - impressive. before someone steals it they need to work extra time to get the wheels off if locked.

These work very well. The key unfortunately fell off my keychain and these were an awful pain to remove. 5 sided allen wrenches are not easy to come by. Home Depot, Lowe's nor AutoZone had anything in store. Finally removed by improvising with different tools but I doubt somebody would go through that trouble on the streets. Needed to remove immediately before a group ride tomorrow otherwise would have ordered another set or a key.

This product is very simple to install and I highly recommend it if you have any quick-release components on your bike especially if you ride in the city or in other places that are kinda shady. Once the item arrived I installed all this in less than 10 minutes, it simply is a matter of switching the old quick-release skewer and then installing the product with the tool given. I like the tool which is a pentagon-shaped key that can be placed onto a keychain if needed which makes loosening the wheel very simple.The skewers have a robust build and they are light but secure enough to keep the wheels tight and locked in place. I would definitely recommend this product!

Dont buy, looks good when you install them but after awhile they will come loose and your wheel will fall off! Absolutely dangerous

I bought this product for my son who is attending university in the bike theft capital of Australia. He had his first bike stolen along with those among the bike racks where his was located. Along with the titanium locks and 5mm thick cable lock that I bought for him, his bike is now the most secure on campus.

Not correct for my application (my fault). Will use on another project bike. Like the idea of the 5 sided key, with small thumb screw through the middle, to hold key engagement. Feel strong, and look good too. Check your measurements, and read their measurements, very carefully, and choose the proper length. I recommend these skewers to replace quick release skewers, for extra security, against easy theft. They'll get 'em if they want 'em, so let's slow 'em down a little.
