I've used two of these for my old shower, and they seem to work great. There are no instructions so you may need experience or a bit of googling to install correctly. The wavy washer is meant to push back against the inside seal, so make sure it goes on correctly. Also, make sure you remove the old washer before replacing. Mine was broken and rusty and crammed inside, and it was tough to tell it was even there. New life to our mid-century shower.
