I used this for my backyard waterfall project, It's a thick material and has held up through the season. It comes with an easy connector to the pump line and a filter that needs to be cleaned regularly. I would recommend.

It can withstand the weight if a heavy rock, but the sides will push out a bit.

I bought this unit for a new pond that I was building. My last pond had a big Tetra waterfall filter that kept pond clean but was cumbersome to incorporate into garden pond. I chose this smaller spillway and have been surprised by flow and filter. My pond is not finished yet and a lot of dirt has gotten into the water while I work, but even after heavy rains the water is perfectly clear. It was easy to assemble. No leaks. I was able to create a lovely stream with little digging. (I'm 67 and after digging the pond itself I was really tired. Lol) This new pond is just over 1000 gallons and the size of this unit is a perfect fit. And the price is right.
