Work well on cleaning up threads on threaded rods after cutting. Nuts screw on easily afterwards.

Works well to deburr bolts after cutting off bolt with a hacksaw. Allows nut to be easily threaded onto bolt like when new. Easy to use.

saw this and said i had to get it. Because I've had to be cutting off screws and not able to screw off the wing knots or bolts. this product makes so easy in getting off either one. I would recommend any shop or mechanic to use it

I bought this tool with the hopes of cleaning the ends of all thread more efficiently. It works but it’s not consistent, especially with larger sized rod. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to hold up very well to heavy use. I would recommend spending a little more money on something higher quality if you plan to use it often. It would be good for light use on occasion for the price.

I like this little tool for 2 reasons.#1 is that it performs its intended function perfectly. Put it in your drill, insert your cut threaded rod or small conduit (fixture stems mostly, smaller than 1/2" conduit), get a good grip and spin the drill. You'll have a nicely chamfered rod end which will resist no nut.Reason #2 is that no coworker of mine has ever seen or heard of this tool, and are all equally impressed by the results. I think I personally have sold several of these by demonstrating is effectiveness on the job. I love showing off cool and unique tools like this.I've been using mine frequently for about a year and it shows little sign of wear, no chipping or breaking. So if you want a time saving tool that'll be the envy of your coworkers, get one of these today!

They don’t work at all. You are limited by the length of the bolt you need to have and then after that they don’t shameful anything. In fact the bolt it stronger. Waste of money. Tossed them straight in the bin and went back to my good old bringer to clean up the bolts. Should be banned from selling this sort of junk.

This chamfering tool is beautifully finished, shining like jewelry. The set of two looks like flashy earrings. More important, they do the job. If you don't have a bench grinder handy, one of these in your power drill should get the job done. I tried it on a 3/8" aluminum rod, which was easy, and on a 3/8" steel rod, which was harder stock than the aluminum, but worked just as well. I put a drop of oil on the end of the steel rod, just in case. The shank you tighten in your drill chuck is triangular, but not self-centering, rather than the typical "fat" triangular or semi-hexagonal bits. This seems a more elegant design, but it requires you to pay attention when tightening your drill chuck to make sure its three jaws line up with the three flat sides of the chamfering bit's shank. Anyone who considers this an unreasonable inconvenience probably has no business using power tools.
