This pole saw is excellent. I was quoted $400 by a tree guy to trim low-hanging limbs and other limbs too near our roof. So, I bought this $75 saw and did it myself. It zipped through 6-inch thick oak limbs like they were butter. Now I have a trimmed tree, a saw, and $325 extra bucks in my pocket. 😁

This pole saw is pretty lightweight, yet powerful enough for small jobs around the house. It cuts well and is rather quiet when it runs. It does go through chain oil more than expected, so be aware of that. It feels well built and should hold up over time. Overall, it's a handy little saw.

Awesome tool for trimming my low hanging tree branches. I also used the chain saw part to cut up branches after cutting them from the tree. After my neighbor saw what i did, i had to do one of his trees because his branches were growing into his house. I am extremely pleased with the performance of this tool or would not take the time to write a review. And by the way, its a breeze to put together. When i opened the box i was like "Where are all the parts". Only three pieces . Easy to snap together and easy to store.

I use my pole saw for everything. I don't like being close to the action but would much rather stand back and see all the violence being done at a distance. Then I feel like I am not doing any work. This new pole saw is lighter and extends a couple feet longer than my old pole saw.So I added the extension bar immediately and expect I'll just leave it in there. The fit of the plastic tracks is tight, as it should be so the head has no wobble. Some grease helped and will make it easier to disassemble if I want to. The extension bar has a further extension, to the point that it's a couple feet longer than my existing pole saw. I can now reach some branches I could not reach before. Even so, it's significantly lighter than my old pole saw. This might be because of the use of a pure copper AC motor, rather than a heavier brushless DC motor, in the head.Weight in the head should be minimized, and any electric pole saw will have a lighter head than a gasoline pole saw where the fuel and engine are all up in the head. (Some gasoline pole saws have rigid shafts, but now you're getting into serious money.)It has a 10 inch chain, full chisel, very thin. I guess that's better for pruning small branches because it concentrates the force in a small area like a knife. It would not be good for cutting thick branches if there's any chance that you would be cutting upward, and then the cut could close over the chain. That can be embarrassing if it happens high up where you can't reach it. Don't ask me how I know -- and it happened with my other pole saw that has a thicker chain (not that it ever happened). So I'd advise this for cutting small branches. It comes with a little bottle of light oil that I guess is bar oil. I used some brand name thick bar oil that I already have, and the oiler worked fine with it. The reservoir holds quite a bit, and there's a little window where you can see if you're running out.It comes with two hex wrenches, which are both needed in the regular use of the saw, one for the chain cover, and the other for the chain tightness adjustment. This is a disadvantage. I have other saws that have all finger adjustments via knobs, with no wrenches needed. It requires corded power and is rated for 8 amps. I have a chopper that will take tool batteries and produce 3.5 amps, but that is not enough, so I will actually have to run cords. It comes with a very short cord. You must supply all the extension cords. For not much more than a mini chainsaw, this one lets you do serious work, and it lets me reach some things that none of my other ones can get to. It's well built and has all the standard features one expects on a fully functional chainsaw. It has a chainbrake if you're using it without the extension; obviously with the extension it's far away in the head and is not reachable, but then your fingers are safe because the action is far away.

As a pole saw it's useful, I didn't feel safe with it fully extended but pulling it back just three inches made it feel more stable and secure. I had, mind you because of this pole saw i can say had instead of have very thick entangled old vines extending up into one of my trees plus a big limb out of reach with my regular chainsaw. I'm a pretty handy hardy girl around the homestead and I did find it heavy and slightly cumbersome to use but still manageable. Now unattached and just as a regular chainsaw it's a beast power wise, I cut through several old hardwoods laying around and logged them up. I didn't receive the tools that came along with it but a Alan wrench worked just fine for releasing the casing to get to the chain. I am deducting a star because it uses a irregular amount of bar oil. For the use of this i felt i was constantly having to refill it but it did lubricate my chain and bar really well, wasn't leaking per say but just released alot. Limited with a cord but without the fuss of gas power and stable power i highly recommend this for its intended purposes. I didn't receive any specs about the chain, hopefully a standard one will fit, my gas powered chainsaws are very specific about pitch and such but ten inch chains are by far more reasonable in price and the generic bar oil works well and didn't add but two dollars to my daily electricity the day I used all day so all around it's economical.
