I've bought many things that were 'renewed' from Amazon. This was the first time I've purchased something that was a bust. It arrived in its original packaging with all accessories except the FM antenna. I hooked it up and it showed power, but the LCD front panel screen never illuminated or worked. No buttons either on the remote or front of the AVR worked. The good thing is I started a tech chat thru Amazon and the rep had me try some of the standard things, hard set reboot, unplug for 30 seconds and restart. Nothing worked. Immediately after that they initiated a refund, emailed the seller who within an hour emailed me back about whether I wanted a replacement or a refund. Since it was a renewed product I elected for a refund. They sent a FedEx label and I packed it up and took it to my local FedEx office. I sent an email saying it was sent and I almost immediately got an email telling me they had processed a refund to Amazon and I should get it within a few days. While disappointed that this product arrived dead, I was quite happy with the whole return process. I'd probably still try getting a renewed product since I've only had this one negative experience out of many purchases.

Wanted to like the receiver, had a lot more features then my Onkyo it was replacing. But found out this receiver is way underpowered compared to my older Onkyo. I couldn't see myself keeping this receiver for the price point. Wanted to be impressed with the sound and power but was disappointed.

I love Denon products! However, I ordered this refurbished receiver and the front right channel was not working, making it a 6.2 model. I returned it and was given a reimbursement. I'll certainly give Denon a try again, but with a lot less excitement... I was hoping for the Denon experience that had previously. 😒

I was doubtful at first on getting a refurbished product especially a Receiver but with this purchase I’m very glad I saved me some money everything it’s well packed, it’s not on the original box but all the accessories were packed as new and the receiver didn’t have a scratch, looks brand new.

Overall, a great product! I am very pleased.....would have given 5 stars except for the fact that it didn't include the Audyssey hookup! Not that I would have used it anyway! I had a Yamaha which I would have kept until it died.... well it did! Would have gotten it fixed except it did not support 4K! The Denon supports 4K and more. I utilize 7.1 surround and this takes care of all of it!

The Spec sheet states this AVR produces 192k x 24 bit sound. When connected via Optical Audio (S/PDIF) from a high end PC this Denon X2700 wasn't able to produce this sampling rate (image included) although previously an older Harmon Kardon AVR with the same Optical Cable was able to achieve this sampling rate. The DenonAVR-X2700H with Optical Audio capped out at 96K x 24bit. Oddly, 192k x 24bit DOES work with HD analog RCA jacks out of the PC into the AUX input on the Denon. At this point I had opted to dump the S/PDIF Optical Audio cable and run HDMI eArc from the PC to the Denon AVR 2700H input #4 then another HDMI eARC cable to a Samsung OLED TV which also supports HDMI eARC. This did the trick as playing 192k x 24 bit files works effortlessly. If you're not achieving the sampling audio rate try swapping out your cables. One small concern, there's Component Output and Composite Output for old school video connections however there's no old school Audio L/R audio output to match at least that's labeled as such. I opted to chance the L/R Pre Amp output so that I can run any source from the AVR directly back to the PC and record audio files. That setup was successful. Lastly, I repeatedly got the error about making a WiFi connection using the wizard in Setup. Oddly the WiFi worked as I was able to update the Firmware.
