Good size easy to turn on and off. Used it for a line lock to lock the rear brakes on my truck for a park brake. So far so good.

For years I had been neglecting the failing pull-up diverter in my shower. After finally dedicating a few brain cells to the task, I bought this stainless ball valve, along with another stainless elbow, and sought to replace the diverter/faucet with something much simpler. When I took everything apart, I was left with 6 inches of 1/2 inch copper tubing. Threads were welded on, so this valve went on next. Immediately after the valve, I connected a stainless steel elbow to replicate the previous faucet and set this all in place with the help of plumbing paste. Finally, I bought some insulation and then, sorta like a hotdog, bundled that inside of a larger 1 and 1/4 inch silicone tube, then sealed everything off. Very frankenstein-looking, but enough to satisfy an engineer. Why didn't I fix this sooner? Even if my water pressure isn't the greatest, my showers are 1000% nicer, thanks to the fact that I get all of the pressure out of the shower head, instead of bleeding it all through the failed valve. Also 1000% easier is rotating this valve 90 degrees instead of fumbling with that old pull valve. Its appearance alone, sometimes elicits laughter. Priceless!

I have a vehicle that required a TSB update to the PCV system. The updated system did indeed remove more blowby from the engine, but was also pulling far too much vaporized oil and filling the catch can in about 50mi. Since manufacturing of this vehicle ceased shortly after the TSB release, I am assuming it was never looked at again otherwise mother Mopar would have offered yet another TSB.I fit this valve in to the vacuum side of the system to throttle some of that vacuum back for a happy medium between OEM and the TSB update. The catch can is still collecting more moisture than the old system but not so much that I am wasting a $12qt of AMSOIL in every 100mi. The valve has smooth action, and a polished finish that is far more than this pavement pounder deserves! So not its intended purpose, but I am pleased with the result.

A n excellent value. I worked as a millwright for many years and dealt with replacing valves of many sorts. One of the best hand valves, in my opinion, is a ball valve. This is not only a ball valve but is also stainless steel making it non-corrosive. I used it to replace a plastic (junk) valve for water supply to my refrigerator. Ow I can feel comfortable knowing that this valve won’t leak like the other in the near future.

Pipe threads should tighten at 3 to 5 revolutions. The valve was 5 revolutions, barley acceptable.
