I had a need for this charger as all of my other charging stations are in sets of 6. That's a little too large to put on my desk/work station. I use a two way radio 10 hours a day and it's nice to have a single standing charger to keep handy within reach. This unit comes with a handy 12v charging cord for easy charging on the road as well for anyone who needs a mobile charger in the car/truck.Read the compatibility carefully as there are a lot of different types of radios out there. I use a Motoriola APX900 series two-way radio and it works perfectly for my application.
