I'm a gardener and I am using a lot of shade cloth in the last few years. It allows me to protect plants from extreme sun and high temperatures. As shade cloth is becoming more and more of a tool for me, I'm starting to customize sizes - that's what I did here.I have a 4' x 2' raised bed where I grow lettuce and I've been using an 8' x 12' cloth over that bed. It works fine, but it is harder to manage, looks a bit "sloppy", and I have other larger beds that I can use the 8x12 on! This cloth will cover this bed with the hoops up perfectly.And a bit more about the product:1. True to size, it is a few inches larger than 5' x 8' and that is nice. These days things tend to be a bit smaller than the seller says - nice to see this seller has not cut corners.2. 30% shade - I know my shade cloths and this looks to be a 30% cloth.3. Sturdy hem and grommets - I won't use the grommets, but they are nice. The hemming strip is a heavy nylon-type material and it's double stitched. It's also finished off perfectly at each corner. I just had to include a picture of that perfect hemming and corner!So nice to be able to write a 5 Star review for a product that I'm really pleased with!

We put this on our existing metal pergola. Works perfect! We needed the shade and it does a good job!
