This thermometer is great! The display shows on three sides of the floater making it easy to read the unit regardless of where it is in the pool. The set up was as simple as popping the batteries in as instructed, and it worked like a charm. I have no issues with the distance of the display being relatively far away sitting in my window sill. The floating unit seems to be accurate to what my pool unit filter displays. The display also displays the ambient temperature, which I don't necessarily need because I keep it inside, but I can see how that would be useful to others. I am very happy with this product and would recommend!

I purchased this thermometer for my hot tub, and it has been an excellent addition! While my pool system logs the temperature, it only updates every 10 minutes or so. This thermometer, however, floats effortlessly in the hot tub and continuously transmits accurate temperature readings back to the receiver in real time.I placed the receiver just outside my patio door, and it conveniently displays both the hot tub temperature and the outdoor temperature at a glance. The setup was a breeze—it was straightforward to configure, and the whole process took just a few minutes. My only minor gripe is that it didn’t come with batteries, but once I had those in, it worked flawlessly.So far, it’s been performing beautifully. Even at about 30 feet away from the pool, the transmission is clear with no issues. Overall, this thermometer has made monitoring the hot tub temperature quick and hassle-free. Highly recommended for anyone who wants accuracy, convenience, and real-time updates!

Was very impressed with this pool thermometer, it has a high accuracy level and very reliable. Also was super easy to set up and the range is great. My pool is not really close to my house so I was impressed that I was able to get a constant accurate temperature from several feet away. This thermometer has three sides with display so readability was perfect. Also, you can see the temperature from the display unit inside your home. For the cost of this unit in my opinion, it’s a great value. It’s nice to be able to see your pool temperature from inside your home so you know if you want to swim today or not.

This thermometer system comes with a base unit (that floats on top of the water with a temperature probe hanging down about 6 inches under the water) and a wireless unit to display the base unit's temperature, inside humidity and temperature. It is meant to be placed at another another location from the base.The base unit requires 3 AA batteries and the wireless unit, 2 AA batteries (batteries not included so you need to supply them yourself). Both units look well made and sturdy. After installing batteries to both units, they auto-linked in about 1 minute with no intervention from me, which was awesome!THE BASE UNIT:The base unit accurately displays the water temperature on 3 different LCD displays (yes, 3 different displays) in its top clear plastic dome, so if it's rotating in the water, one of the three displays should always be in your line of sight, pretty neat! The three LCD displays in the base unit are large and easy to see. If there is a drastic temperature change, the base unit wilk show changing temperature changes under 5 seconds which is excellent! Inside the plastic dome of the base unit, there's a coiled spring right in the center which is visible. That is the antenna the base uses to transmit the temperature data to the wireless unit. I tested the units at about 85 feet apart and had a wall and one floor between them and they were still able to communicate which is great!THE WIRELESS UNIT:The wireless unit shows the temperature and humidity where it is located on the first line of the display. On the next line, you can display the current temperature of the base unit or minimum or maximum temperatures up to 24 hours. The only minor issue that I have is that the wireless unit only updates the temperature (display) every 3 minutes. So if the base unit is registering a drastic temperature change, if you are looking at the wireless unit only, you could be waiting up to 3 minutes before you see any change in temperature. I understand that this is wireless and more frequent updates to the wireless unit use more energy (battery), so the batteries won't last as long. So it's a tradeoff to help conserve energy. This is not a show-stopper at all but something to be aware of.I really like this wireless pool thermometer system! I verified it's accuracy to 0.5°F using an expensive thermometer I own. I cannot speak to how long the batteries will last, but I'm guessing they'll last close to a year.You can use this setup for a pool, fish tank, hot tub, jacuzzi etc.. I highly recommend this and feel that the price charged is appropriate for what you get. I consider these units top-notch, with the minor issue of the wireless unit only updating every 3 minutes. In my opinion, it would have been great if there was a switch to select between 1, 3 or 5 minutes to update the wireless unit, but overall that's very minor. I am enjoying this thermometer and think that you will, too!

My pool is around 30ft from the back of my house, and is 20ft wide. I have the receiver inside the house, but with a clear view through a window to the pool. I have had no problems so far with connections between the sensor, and the receiver.The accuracy seems ok, when checking with a cooking thermometer (which is all I had to hand).The temperature is updated every 3 mins, which is fine by me. I guess this is to save battery power.Speaking of battery power, the sensor uses 3 AA’s, and the receiver uses 2 AA’s. I have no idea on battery life as yet.The sensor which floats in the pool has 3 separate displays for temperature, which is a nice design feature. You can read the temperature no matter which direction the free floating sensor is facing.I think for $30 ish dollars, this is a great tool.

I've gone through a few similar pool thermometers. This one is designed internally a bit different, which I believe is protecting its circuit board better. They all have a similar rubber ring that seals out water when the top is threaded on. The others have eventually let moisture into the compartment where the circuit board is. IF this one's seal lets any moisture in, it won't affect the circuit board due to an added internal compartment. The signal transmission is good. Even if/when the thermometer has gotten into my skimmer at the far corner of my plaster pool, I still get temperature readings on the wireless display inside my house ... maybe 70ft away, through a glass slider and two walls. This is the best one of its type so far.
