This controller brought my PitBoss Smoker back to life. Less than a year into owning my smoker the controller started malfunctioning, and was causing the auger to continuously feed pellets. This was making my life a nightmare when attempting to cook on it. After easily installing this controller problem solved. The controller fits perfectly, and is as accurate as the oem. The colored temperature numbers makes this controller super easy to use as well. If you are having the same issue as I stated above I highly recommend this product.

So my grill wouldn't power on, and found a blown fuse. Replaced fuse with one i bought here. Then I discovered the fan was burnt up, so I got it from Amazon also. When I plugged in new fan and it instantly turned on without powering on grill and remained on. Researched and found this control panel which finally fixed my grillTurns out the original panel was bad, which allowed the old fan to remain on and burn up, which blew the fuse. Now after replacing these parts, my pit boss grill is cooking like a champ again.

I’ve only used this once so far, however it works like the OEM part. The instructions were easy to follow and it’s a plug and play unit. The fitment wasn’t as snug as the original but it stays where it’s put. The readout seems to be very accurate also. As far as value for the money I would say it’s worth it!

I read several iffy reviews but went ahead and ordere because all the aftermarket units had iffy reviews. This was the least iffy. Ordered and installed in a pit boss tailgater. The unit showed an internal temp 120 degrees higher than actual as tested by other thermometers. Sent it back. The replacement works spot on. I have played around with the P settings. It holds temp decent for a non PID unit. Considering price, functionally, and quality control issues. I give a generous 4 star. Problem a 3 or 2 star if you would be annoyed to have to possibly send back until you get a good one. It’s easy to replace so I’ll go with 4.

Worked perfectly for over a month used several times. Then the motor controller on the replacement board got stuck. Even after the over heat turned the smoker off. The hopper motor will Continue to feed pellets until the power cord is pulled. Even after letting it sit at any time if I plug the cord in the feeder motor will start feeling. Even if the smoker is still turned off!.

Product was to wide for original hole. Had to swapped panel components to the original one so it would fit in hole without having to modify pitboss. Installed and fired up pitboss. Works good now except temperature reads different then dial setting
