I got the 11-13y size, for my 12 year old to go under her cheerleading skirt. They work perfectly and fit her perfectly. I was a little worried they might be small, because a description of 11-13 years old can have a vast array of different sizes! She normally wears 14-16 clothing. However, as I said, they fit perfectly for her and are very comfortable.

I ordered 4-5T, my daughters usual size and although she is thin, they ran slightly large in the waist and leg area compared to other shorts of the same type/size. If you’re in between sizes it’s probably safe to go with the smaller size. The material has a good weight to it; no see through and they have good stretch but not constricting. So far they’ve held up well to wash and wear. They seem to be well made and priced fairly for a set of three.

Great fit for my tween. They are comfortable and work well under her gi for jiu-jitsu. They would also work for other sports and can be worn on their own or under other things. The material is thick so there's no concern with them being see through. The pockets are a great touch. Overall a are pleased with these and love that they are reasonably priced for the set of three.

These are pretty basic shorts but it doesn't mean they aren't great. The pockets are slightly small but at least they have some. The waist is high and does do a nice job of staying in place while you are being active. The length was perfect for my 12 year old but the waist was too big, however she does run very small in her waist for her age. The fabric was smooth and breathable and allowed for great movement. The 3 pack was a favorable value.

I ordered these shorts for my daughter and I’m really pleased with them. The material is soft, easy to wash, and wicks sweat away, making them perfect for activities like dance and cheer. I sized up to allow for some extra growth, and they still fit well without slipping down. The waistband is wide and keeps them securely in place, which is great for comfort. My daughter loves that they have pockets. Overall, the quality is good, and they seem like they’ll last through multiple growth spurts.

I give this item 5 stars. The fit is better than expected, and the design is perfect. I really like the feel and look of these on, they are a perfect length and fit. All the colors give a variety of options for tops.

Run a bit big for 12 yr olds - my kid is 5', 85 and these had a bit of extra width in the leg. She ended up shelving them for another few months or until she grows into them. Keep in mind this is a kid that lives in her nike pro shorts. Comparatively speaking, the fabric is nice enough, the waistband is good, lighter than the nike pro because it's not the same wide elastic, it is plenty stretchy, pockets are handy. I'd say if your kid is nearing 100 lbs, this size will work well.
