I ended up returning these shorts. The quality, workmanship, and price for the set of 5 shorts were great. The material was thin but durable, the shorts were well made. Unfortunately, what didn't work for us was the length of the shorts. In the description, it was noted to be a certain length for the size we were looking for - what was noted in the description for the 12-14 size was 13 inches long, but they were not 13 inches long. The length was closer to 10 inches, 3 inches too short.

These are a great length for my daughter. She’s been wearing them all summer and she says they are very comfortable to run, walk, sit, and be silly in. 5 colors to match any top. Waist band has a lot of give, no need for string so we took them out. Will be repurchasing when they finally wear out or out grows them.

Very soft and smooth fabric. It reminds me of lycra, but with a little more structure and less cling. It is a thicker fabric then I would expect for quick dry fabric.The shorts fell about half way down my child's thigh.The hem of the shorts is straight. This is different from other shorts I got for her this year. The front of the thigh is cut higher on other shorts.My child claims they are comfortable to wear. I am glad that they are longer than her shirts.A great basic short.

The shorts were pretty perfect. Just the right length, material, color, and the strings weren't too short. They were too long but that was an easy fix.
