Quick easy install. Works perfect with my direct vent gas fireplace. I have my fireplace operated by a wall thermostat. The wall stat cycles the flames on and off while the blower stat Cycles the blower on and off. Perfect fit for my setup.

Add inline to your power cord to fan and attach it with the strong magnet to the surface needed to monitor the temp that you want it to turn the fan on and off at. Worked well.

This came to me late but once there it worked out as it states. The hard part is accessing the spot to remount it. That is a bit tricky but I got it. No issues. I started the fire and after a short while it engaged the fan. I did have my doubts about the magnet mount but it is a strong magnet. Try it you will see how easy it is to install. :)

I bought this item to make my manual blower switch on my fireplace an automatic one. This item worked perfectly and was cheap. Just splice into either line of your blower switch, find a suitable place on the underside of your fireplace or wood burning stove where the temperature will rise and fall according to your liking and your set. Now my blower turns on when the tubes get hot and turn off when they cool. No more going to bed and coming to find a ice cold frosty breeze coming from my fireplace blower.

Doesn't turn on as early as I would like but seems to be consistent in it's operation.

Replaced a unit on a Heatilator gas fireplace that wasn't magnetic and had no screws to hold it in place. This was a 5 minute job, the sensor is flush with the metal bottom housing. Two things to keep in mind: 1) DISCONNECT power to the circuit before installing. On my unit there is a wall switch to disable the fan which cuts power to the junction block. If the hot lead on the sensor touches any part of the sheet metal in the fireplace (which is grounded) you will short out the junction block where the fan power is provided. 2) Mount the unit with the magnet toward the back of the fireplace. This allow you to easily remove it again using the indented tabs on either side of the sensor. I've seen this part on the web for as much as $20 but the price I paid was $7.99 with Prime shipping. Works great so far!!
