-1- You can completely grease the thread after buying it.-2- When resetting it is important to note that it is slow and that the resetter is placed in such a way that it does not know where it is or that it is as deep as possible in the caliper.-3- Please take it back slowly and slowly as the brake fluid takes time and will not suddenly be pushed back no matter how much force you use.-4- Please also ensure that you unscrew the cover of the brake fluid reservoir so that no pressure can build up in the reservoir when you reset it.

Anyone who has ever done a brake job has probably encountered the problem of trying to retract the caliper piston enough to get the new brake pads to fit. The new pads are much thicker than the old, but the piston is extended to push the old, thinner pads against the rotor. I have used several methods, including prying the piston back with a pry bar, which risks damaging the caliper, and on the last job using a jack to push the piston in, which meant removing the caliper and positioning it against the frame so that the jack could push against it. With this Thsakzo Disc Brake Piston Spreader Tool, none of that should be necessary. This tool is designed so that the user fits the flat metal bars between the old pads and then turns the handle, spreading the pads and pushing the piston in. Unfortunately I am not doing a brake job right now to try it, but the design appears to be very robust, with heavy steel that should not bend. I also like that it is possible to turn the handle with a ratchet, which should be much easier than using just the t-bar handle. I wish I had found this tool many years ago, as it would have saved me a lot of time, effort, and frustration. I will be keeping this in my tool box for the next brake job I do.

I needed to change out brake pads and rotors on my vehicle and I used this brake calliper tool to squeeze in the brake calliper pistons and this did the job. The tool is easy to use; capable of adjusting one piston at a time. The tool feels sturdy and has good weight to it.
