First time I used it on my dog clumps of fur went flying all over. Wonderful gadget to have if your dog sheds a lot. Just go slow and easy on the thick areas cause it tends to pull and cause discomfort

I am so happy I came across this pet grooming tool for my 13 lb fur baby girl! Works awesome for my Pixy girl! I took about 20 minutes combing/raking through her hair and got quite pile of end of Summer shedding hair, worked great with her light mats, detangled great, was awesome to work with, great price, did not pull her hair hard or get stuck in the light mats. I recommend and this is money very well spent all the way around!!

Goldens have a lot of coat to manage. She is not like my last dog and does not enjoy being brushed, even though I have brushed her since she was 8 weeks old. This helped me to pull some of that loose undercoat and even a few tangles that she gets near her ears. It feels sturdy. I would like a slightly longer thicker handle, but its fine.So as of now, I would recommend this for your grooming kit
