About the 3M Sticky Pad
- Others: without 3m sticky pad. You may need extra help with extra hands just because you have to hold the scar plate in place while tightening the knob screws, especially if you are installing both scar plates on the same knob.
- Ours: come with 3m sticky pad. Just stick the scar plate onto the door hole and you don't have to hold it by hand.

Really happy to have found these door knob plates as they give more character to the door knobs in the house and prevent any scuffing on the door itself. When I was putting these in place, I was surprised at how much damage my door knobs made, so I am glad I can now prevent any further damage. Plus, it helped cover up the damage that was there from previous door knob installations and the movement of the door knob when opening and closing.

My door knob was cutting into the door so I tried using these to keep that from happening. Nice thick metal. I do wish the center hole was smaller. I didn't think to look for smaller ones.

These are nice. Paint is matte and kind if rough. Resists scratches and fingerprints. Price is higher but if you are picky and expect things to last then these should hold out best in the long run.

An effective and economical solution for replacing the door knobs on an old bathroom door that was thinner than today's standard size. Without these it would have been much more complicated and expensive.

J’ai récemment remplacé la poignée de notre porte d’entrée, et la nouvelle poignée a une dimension plus petite que l’ancienne. Les dommages laissés par l’ancienne poignée étant très visibles, je suis enchanté d’avoir trouvé ces plaques qui viennent masquer le fini abimé de ma porte.J’ai également pu constater que les trous de poignées de porte ne sont pas toujours standards, et parfois plus grands que la nouvelle poignée à installer. Ce renfort est suffisamment épais et solide pour couvrir un espace et permettre de fixer solidement une poignée plus petite que le trou existant.Finalement le collant double-face 3M rend l’installation rapide et facile.
