# out of 5 stars beasue it was never camed with a l braket lock !!!keep your old one if you do buy this produect.. I highly Recommend this item... however you need your old to Master Cylinder ... for that bracket ( looks like a big A$$ staple (like a staple gun)the item does not come with a part that is needed to keep your break line attached while is spins !!!!**** OLD MASTER CYLINDER IS NEEDED ****--- honda civi si ep3---- i recommend this product only if you have your "old master cylinder"

Back plate is warped. Oring squirts out when cylinder is pressurized.

Installed Dorman clutch master cyl.and did not notice defect. Spent an hour trying to figure out why no pressure so also installed a slave cyl. thinking that was the issue. Noticed a leak so removed master and found the defect. Had to use the gasket from the old one even though it was not a perfect fit. Terrible product inspection at factory. Wasted 4 hours installing/removing/troubleshooting problem and installing a not needed slave cyl. Will not buy Dorman products again

Bought in Sept ‘22, installed in Oct ‘22 with fresh fluid, and the diaphragm plate seal just randomly blew out while I was driving today Feb ‘23. Lasted a whopping 4 months. Total garbage. Waste of time and money.

Received this item within the estimated delivery time and installed it the same day. It worked great for the first two days and then noticed a dramatic drop in the effectiveness of the clutch pedal. It turned out that the master cylinder machine screws had not been tightened sufficiently by the manufacturer which resulted in the O-ring failing. I was unable to receive any reply from the supplier and will not purchase any items from them in the future.

The o-ring seal failed in a similar manner to prior reviews - see picture. Manufacturing defect. If you buy, check the gap between the housing and the metal plate fastened by 3 screws all around before you install. If any gap exists, the o-ring will blow out - see picture. You be warned...Dorman usually builds good stuff - not here.

I just replaced the clutch in my Civic, and I figured, I might as well do the hydraulics at the same time. This item went in with no trouble, the fitment was perfect, and everything works just like it should. I'm using this in a 2002 EP3 Civic Hatchback with the K20A3 engine.

Cylinder has triangular plate with 3 bolts that seals to the main body via an o-ring. After 6 months the o-ring had hemorrhaged out and all the fluid had been lost.Last product I buy from this manufacturer.
