Finally a Double Din Radio installation solution is in reach without having to pay tons of money for a custom handmade kit!! Up until now installing an Aftermarket Double Din Radio into Compatible With Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 2002-2004 meant having to take your ride to someone who can custom make a double din kit (these kits cost upwards of $349). However this installation kit allows you to simply modify your preexisting factory dashboard ( reuses your factory a/c vents) to fit a Aftermarket Double Din Radio.***A Soldering Iron, Cordless Drill (with drill bits) and some type of saw for cutting plastic is required for installation. Our Double Din kits are design for use with USA Standard Double Din radio models only that are 180mm x 100mm. Some China radio models will not work with this kit. Please Double Check the size of your aftermarket radio before purchasing this kit. Boss and Eonon radios are notorious for being oversized, please be extremely careful when purchasing these radios.

Had to pull dash apart to get it to fit but it fits perfectly! Bought one before and it wouldn't fit. This is the one to get for anyone looking!

You will have to butcher your dash. Nothing fits like it is supposed to. Left with a 3/4 inch gap at the top and won't set in the dash properly. 04 grand Cherokee

It actually fits quite well and looks good. I managed to fit a Pioneer NEX but I don't recommend a bulky radio like that, there just isn't room in the dash. Even after hacking out ALL of the supporting structure in the dash behind the radio, I had to disassemble the radio and cut part of it's chassis away to make it fit (voiding the warranty on a brand new carplay pioneer!) Radio depth is a problem at the bottom so a double din unit with as little depth as possible is a good idea.

Overall this was the simplest way of approaching a double din in a WJ Grand Cherokee...the cutting of the dash was fairly simple given you have a dremel, or alternative, patience, and no fear when it comes to removing plastic once and for all. My one qualm with the product is that the top portion of it is very weak and cracked in half upon final installation. I plan on fiberglassing an Ipad dock atop of this so the crack isn't the end of the world but for $75 I would expect a better quality product. The design is flawed and could have used additional supports engineered into the design before it was sent off for production. Would I buy it again? No, I would go the long route and buy a used one from a local parts yard since the project requires cutting in the first place.

Its a job to make this fit. But it is worth it if u want a double din radio....which I did. I had to clip the tabs off they would not line up. I also had to take hack saw to trim around the vents to make fit. I did not have use for the wire harness or the 2 plastic things that came with it. Also if u want to install a double din in your jeep you will need to saw and cut stuff in radio opening to make any double din radio fit. I would say all together with trimming the face plate and trimming and cutting opening for radio it was about an hour. To me it was well worth it.

WARNING!First and foremost, this is a lot more work than the seller makes it out to be. The item description didn't go into detail about how much cutting needed to be done, didn't specify how little or how much. So I will. There is a lot of trimming, tedious double checking and more trimming needed to be done. If you want a good job, expect a few hours of work, at the least.Though I will still be giving the product a 5 star rating, because I'm rating the trim bezel itself, not the the generic installation desceiption.Back to the product.I had bought this to install a double din head unit into my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the Infinity Sound System. The head unit I installed was a Pioneer AppRadio 3 SPH-DA210.Pros:Perfect fit and color matchReuses original air vents with workISO standard 180mm by 100mm double dinIncludes a nice quality radio antenna adapterIncludes a wire harnessCons:There were no instructions, let alone tips on where to get startedThe supplied wire harness was cheap and flimsyRequired a lot more cutting than seller had made consumers to believe
