I use this to line a homemade dough-proofing box. My container is a large plastic bin with a seedling mat and temp controller for heat. I wanted some thin, light insulation that would roll up easily when not in use. It folds where I need it to, to conform to the bin's shape. This foil works quite well for that, ensuring that the seed mat's heat gets reflected upward into my container and doesn't heat up the counter or table below. I'm quite pleased with this purchase.

This is a nice piece of reflective foil insulation. I am used to buying this in 20' rolls, so I missed when I bought it that it was 16" long and not 16' long. You can usually get 20' for $20 or so, this seems like a bit much for a small square. That said, if you just need a little small window to cover or something like that, this will do the job great. There's nothing wrong with the product, it works as expected and is good quality.

I got this to insulate windows on my SUV. Unfortunately, 16" is too short to cover even the side windows. I really think this should be sold in 20" or taller rolls. It does work on the small corner windows though, so it will help me for part of the project. I will say that insulation material like this definitely works. The SUV got a lot hotter once the windows were covered with this material. That was all due to body heat staying in the car. You will definitely want ventilation if you're going to be staying in a car for long periods of time. The CO2 levels got high pretty quickly on my SUV without the air turned on.
