I'm reviewing "Double Sided Sticky Fabric Tape,1 Inch x 200 Feet Hem Tape No Sew No Iron, Double Sided Hemming Tape for Clothes, Pants, Curtains, Crafts and DIY Projects, Thin and Removable" which I received via the VINE program.I do a lot of sewing but I also do a lot of crafts, card making specifically. This double sided tape is perfect for both of my hobbies. If I have a need to adhere a zipper to a bag securely before sewing, I can cut this tape to size and use it for that purpose. I can also use it to adhere cardstock together when making cards. 200 feet of this tape will last me for quite some time too.It holds very securely, and in the case of cardstock, I can very carefully reposition if needed, I do need to ensure I don't adhere it with any pressure initially if doing so.For the price point, I strongly recommend!

Review of ”Double Sided Sticky Fabric Tape,1 Inch x 200 Feet Hem Tape No Sew No Iron...":(Please refer to my reviewing guidelines at the bottom of the page). We live on our 52' Trawler 100% of the time and anchor out and travel 99.99% of the time and we do all of our own canvas-work with an industrial long arm sewing machine. I am now in the process of replacing all of our clear vinyl widows that I had originally done 10 years ago. Fabric tape of this sort makes the job of sewing in window zippers much easier. I normally use 1/2" or even 1/4" tape and I was concerned about how much adhesive would stay on the needle while sewing this wider tape because that can cause huge issues with some tapes. This tape performed well in that the needle stayed fairly clean, but I just stayed on the safe side and cleaned it with alcohol after every zipper. The tape does need a bit of pressure for a few minutes to stick well but then holds the zipper chain reasonably well until it's sewed.I've done a bit of market research on Amazon for this specific type of product and find that the current price of $12 for 200 feet (6 cents per foot) is very fairly priced for the market. I am assigning 5 stars due to the good quality and pricing of the product. My responsibility as an Amazon Vine Reviewer:Considering the Amazon rules/regulations for being a Vine Member It is obvious that it is very important to Amazon that the person doing the review has indeed inspected, tested, used the product as well as being aware of the competitive situation of the market segment. This is so it can be fairly compared and reviewed whether good, bad, average, or anywhere in all of the grey area between. One thing that I wish were better defined by Amazon is exactly what each star should represent from 1 to 5 so that every Vine member would use the same guide in that regard. So, to let you know the guide that I use, I include it as follows:I always start off considering that average is 3 stars, and an average rating to me is:The product was correctly represented in the ad.The manufacturing quality is as expected. The product performed as intended. The product operating/user guide if needed is helpful. The product is priced accordingly. Then after inspection, measuring, testing, using, wearing, or whatever is requiredI add or subtract from the average as follows:Subject to additional stars:Additional product features not expected that are useful.Manufacturing quality/performance above what was stated or expected.Included guides and/or useful information that is beyond the norm.Product pricing highly competitive for a superior product.Subject to fewer stars:The product was misrepresented in the ad.Manufacturing quality/performance below what was stated or expected. No useful guide or understandable user information when required.Product pricing is on the high side considering quality, features, or the market.all the best,dr

Once you press it on it stays very well. Be careful on silk tho because it will destroy it if you need to readjust. It has a VERY strong adhesive which is what I was looking for, so it's perfect for me!

I make handbags, and double-sided tape (DST) is a must-have tool. This wide tape is great for securing a large section of your bag before stitching (e.g., your pattern has a zipper-enclosed cardholder and you need to secure it to the main front piece of the bag) when you cannot use clips or pins. DST is absolutely necessary if you make vinyl and leather bags. This particular tape works extremely well. The roll is solid and easy to use. (I have some brands where the roll breaks apart and separated so that I ended up with two or three “sub-rolls” and tape was wasted; this tape does not do that, nor is it likely to.) The tape adhesive is very strong, but still temporary. It would be permanent on paper (I would think), but on cloth, vinyl, and leather, it can be repositioned if needed. It is perfect for situations such as the example I described, in which you need to avoid shifting while you sew but you may need to reposition a piece as you set things up. This high-quality tape is a very useful addition to my bag tool arsenal. This tape would also be perfect for applications in which you needed to create a quick temporary bond on cloth, such as a hem. The temporary hem would be strong and stick for sure until you could find a more permanent solution. You can sew right through this tape when you finally do make your permanent hem without gumming up your needle (and if you are concerned about that, a little alcohol easily removes any residue—though I don’t think it will be an issue). It would also be useful for card makers; it is a very convenient size for that sort of application. As a side note for those not experienced with DST: Any double-sided tape, regardless of the brand, can be a little fiddly when you remove the top layer that protects the tape. That is normal; the best brands will not have protective paper that comes off too easily, which would result in wasted tape. Just grab a needle or needle tool and flick it against the top of the tape and the paper on this tape will pull off easily.

This generous roll (200 inches) of double sided tape is wider (1 inch) than the usual hem tape, and is so easy to use for instant repairs, no ironing needed. I am always putting my heels into the threads of the back of my pants and feeling the hem rip, and often at the worst times. I am going to cut strips of this tape, stick one side of it to pieces of wax paper, and keep it in my work desk for those emergencies. I also love crafting, and this tape is great for everything from making greeting cards to sticking pompoms or leaves onto children’s projects, or using a strip to secure a roll of card stock or ribbon around empty cans to make pencil holders or pretty vases. So many possibilities! Additionally, this is very easy to peel off that second layer for the double side, which really makes a difference.
