How To Use DOWAN Butter Crock:

Step 1 - Make sure the bell is dry, then pour cold water into the base of the crock to the waterline, which can keep butter tight from falling into the water.

Step 2 - Press one stick of softened butter (or 1 and 1/3 stick) into the crock's cup and compact the butter with the back of a spoon without leaving air holes.

Step 3 - Place the crock's cup into the bottom of crock. Your butter is ready for use!

Note: Please change the water every 2 or 3 days.

How to Prevent Butter from Falling off the Lid into the Water?

Make sure the water is cold enough. Drop an ice cube into the water if your environment is too hot.
Make sure the crocks are completely dry before adding water, and change the water every 2 or 3 days.
Make sure to press the butter firmly without leaving air holes.
Do not put new butter into the existing butter as it may fall off into the water.
Do not store by the stove or in direct sunlight, as the butter will melt.
Adding a little salt or vinegar to the water is helpful to keep fresh, while it doesn't affect the taste of the butter either.

I love this butterbell! I was hesitant at first because I never had one and didn't know how long the bitter would last or if I would use the butter fast enough. well, it is working out so much better than I thought! The butter lasts a long time, whenever I use it I just change the water, which isn't even that much of a problem. The butter is always soft and my kids don't have issues spreading it on their bread/toast anymore.
