I've tried several different brands and Dr Harvey's is my birdies favorite! I tried mixing with other brands to try different foods for them. They won't touch their bowl at all if there are other brand seeds in there. I do give them fresh broccoli, corn, dried greens and apples every day along with Dr Harvey's. They eat it up. They will eat the Mazuri Finch pellets I buy as well. But as for seeds?...Dr Harvey's ONLY!

I’ve been using Dr. Harvey’s food for years and years. A few of my finches are over 10 years old.So, I’m a believer that this is a very good product.

This seed mix is a bit more pricey than others, but its so worth it. My birds leave their bowls empty. Not a seed left behind

I like all the different choices of food (other than just seed) for my birds to choose from. They thrive on this + fresh food options. Only con is price, but considering what others charge for food that is unhealthy...I will deal with it.

I have several species of finches, and I offer more than one variety of seed so that they get the widest possible choice of what they might like to eat. Trying out Dr. Harveys, I fed it separately as it really offers quite different foods that aren't in other seed mixes to really check on how much of it the finches actually liked and ate. The outcome was that they ate everything. So I assume that the flavour, freshness, and value for money truly rates 5 stars.

Expensive for the small amount you get it's not bad food for the birds just not worth spending the money for so little food

Okay...just being honest...I do NOT want to LIKE this product. It's expensive compared to other available feeds for my finches and I have to wait for it to be shipped to me rather than grabbing it off a shelf. For $20+ per bag, I have an expectation of a larger bag! That being said, my birds have spoken. They love this crap. I mean...LOVE. IT. When they see me coming towards their cage with the bag in my hand, they literally hang off the front of the cage in anticipation. Keep in mind, they have free feed (a multi blend generic food) in their feeders, but they wait for their daily feeding of Dr Harvey's Fabulous Finch Food. I'm betting if I tried hard enough, I could get these little honkers to do tricks to get this food! LOL! In any case, let's talk about this food. Opening the bag is a delight in and of itself - the smell is amazing and makes me slightly jealous of my feathered friends. There's bits of dried fruit and such in there that make it smell like something you'd mix in your yogurt or on your salad. The bag is small and my wallet whimpers when I click "Add to Cart", but it goes a long way and my finches are happy. If they're happy, I'm happy!
