Fan and light work great, but the clips broke the first time we used it.

I don't typically write reviews, and I find it almost valueless when people leave reviews before they have even tried the product, but.....I purchased two of these 12V fan/light combos for Pop-Up/Hybrid camper bunk ends. I purchased one, and then a couple of weeks later I ordered a second. I haven't yet installed or used either, though I'm fairly confident they will do the job I bought them for; I will update this review if I find otherwise. But the three-star review right now is because when my first light showed up, after unpacking it and looking it over, it has a noticeable rattle. Like something inside is loose and rolling around, something like a screw or nut. If you gently shake the light/fan unit, you will hear what sounds sort of like a baby's rattle. Not quite that bad, but clearly a screw or something metal is bouncing around inside the unit. Kind of annoying to say the least, especially on a brand-new item. Then the second unit arrived, totally separately from the first light/fan unit I ordered, from a completely different Amazon seller, and it was packaged entirety differently too. And this second light has an EVEN WORSE rattle inside it. I mean, it sounds like a huge screw or nut is loose inside this second unit, just bouncing around. Even if my light/fans work for now (and I will update) how long will they last with what I can only presume are nuts and bolts banging around inside? Also, minus a *star* because the jack or plug on this unit is a small barrel connector, and absolutely NOT the typical 1/4" 'stereo' or 'guitar'-sized plug found on nearly every camper I have ever seen that has these 12V bunk-end lights. I could just *see* this from the listing pictures even before I ordered, but I want to point this out in case anyone expected these lights to be an exact replacement for what your camper had originally. The light/fan unit does come with a new jack that accepts its connector, and it's super easy for me and maybe most people to make that kind repair/upgrade/swap, but if you just want a new bunk light/fan and want to plug it into your camper that very likely has the 1/4" jack, you will not be able to do that. I knew this when I placed my order, and I really shouldn't complain, but every camper I have ever seen uses a 1/4" jack. Why these guys decided to go with something different, I can only assume saved them 34 cents/unit during the production of this item.Again, I haven't yet installed them, I'm hoping they actually work, and I will update if they do or do not. But right now I already feel like these are very low end with poor quality control during production, and maybe not the best value. Your milage may certainly vary.EDIT: I did install the fans today; 2 stars because the fan and the light does work. But, in addition to the rattle I mentioned above, one of two my fan/lights did not include the screws to install the outlet. Not a big deal, I just reused the screws from the old outlet. However, this fan/light also did not include the screws to install the 3 plastic clips that hold the unit to the Camper’s support pole. This is definitely something that should have been done before shipping the unit. I didn’t happen to have on hand any screws to fit the clips, so for me this was a trip to the hardware store and another $3.00 for the screws. If this happens to anyone else, the screws seems to be an M4-0.7x12 Pan Head Machine screw.I hope this helps!

My pop up camper has a slide out. The canvas section is held in position just like the bed positions. I use the light/fan over the dining area, attached to the pole that holds the canvas in place. Provides lighting not present before and air flow.

We got this for our new camper as a light over a pullout for the dining table and it worked great! On the second time using it, one of the clips broke but their customer service was great at resolving the issue for me! I would definitely buy another if we needed one for the bed pullouts as well on our camper.

Parfait pour avoir une lumière et un ventilateur dans chaque extrémité. Nous laissons fonctionner le ventilateur à basse vitesse toute la nuit.

Pricey for what it is (but so are most RV accessories). It is a nice item to have in the bunks of a popup camper.

We all know how important both light and comfort is. We bought this for a popup camper and are pleased that we did so. It is a good value. The light is welcomed to my aging eyes. The fan has a good amount of power; as you would expect from its size.
