I'm using the IR transmitter and receiver to control a cable box on the main TV, making it possible to watch a TV in the basement and control the cable box from that area. Using an HDMI splitter on the upstairs TV, this has proved to be a great way to watch TV in another location without having to rent a second cable box. Product had worked flawlessly since its purchase.

It doesn't work with their own HDMI IR extender. This was not clear in this product description or that one. They're all the same basic same idea - so why the hell not?!And the HDMI IR extender I bought from them is weak. It barely picks up the remote - you have to be within about 10' - which is really lame. The older IR extender I had is vastly more sensitive - handling that same remote to at least 25', and it shows a light to indicate when it detects a pulse - whereas Sewell's do not show any indication or feedback of anything. >:(Poor product.

It works as advertised. I attached it directly to the front of my Samsung TV's IR receiver so can't comment on range/power.

Worked perfectly as I needed it too. Easy to install and the adhesive to connect the eye to the receiving device works well. Would buy again if I needed another one.
