This dumbbell-to-barbell converter bar is the hero I didn't know I needed in my home gym. Like a lot of us, I’m working with limited space & budget, so being able to turn my existing dumbbells into a barbell setup is awesome—no extra plates or bulky gear required. And I can switch from dumbbell exercises to barbell use in seconds. The 45" bar length is compact enough for smaller spaces but still gives me plenty of room. It has solid steel clamps with non-slip rubberized material, and the dumbbells lock in quickly and securely. My biggest concern was that they’d shift or rattle during lifts, but so far nothing has budged. Also worth noting: this is designed in a slightly curved EZ-curl style, which I really appreciate for reducing joint strain. It includes with some thoughtful extras too:• A thick foam barbell pad (with velcro straps) for squats or hip thrusts• A pair of padded lifting straps• A very simple manual, honestly that's all you need though.➞ Heads-up, this bar is more metric-friendly. It weighs 8.8 lbs (4kg) on its own and holds up to 220 lbs (100kg). No big deal, just keep it in mind if you’re logging weights in pounds.TLDR: This bar is a super-efficient upgrade for any home gym. And I'm actually saving money, since my dumbbells can now pull double duty. The build quality is excellent, with joint-friendly ergonomic features.

I have a set of Bowflex dumbbells but no space for a barbell and weight plates. This all-steel converter bar opened up so many new workout options—absolutely awesome and totally worth it!

This dumbbell bar is a GREAT accessory to my workout gear! I have an adjustable dumbbell set and the handholds are a bit thicker than many dumbbells you buy online or at the store. I was concerned that this bar wouldn't accommodate the larger handhold but it DOES!! The ends are very easy to open, just make sure you hear a "click" when you lock it around the dumbbell. It also comes with a big thick shoulder pad which I REALLY appreciated when doing squats with the bar resting on my shoulders. It makes it so much more comfortable then bars that just have the thin nonslip foam where your hands go. This bar is slightly shorter than regular barbells but being a female, it's a perfect size for a small to average sized person. If you have very broad shoulders, it MIGHT be a bit on the short side though. This is a very convenient and well thought out piece of equipment and also a nice space saver! Also included were some wrist straps which I have not used yet, but that was a nice addition to have just in case.

Working out at home, I didn't want to fill my house with dumbbells and barbells, so this adapter was just what I was looking for. So far, it has held up to 30 lb weights on each side without issue and has allowed me to do weighted squats, chest presses and overhead lifts and carries a different way than usual, helping stimulate different muscles. The inclusion of the foam pad was super nice for the weighted dips, as it can sit across your shoulders without becoming uncomfortable very quickly. I have tried this with CAP and Peloton dumbbells and it works well with both. But because the clasp holding the weight does not extend for the full length of the dumbbell handle, you will end up with a barbell that has a "top" and "bottom" and it can swing a bit because the barbell is held unevenly by the bar. I haven't noticed this to be an issue with working out just yet, but if you do a lot of dynamic movements, this could be distracting enough to throw you off balance and cause an injury. Just something to watch out for if you plan to use this for a ton of different things. For my purposes, it works great and holds the dumbbells securely.

Ok so the overall concept of this is a winner, I get it. Especially if you don’t have any barbell or barbell weights. You can easily transition from dumbbell arm workouts, to barbell dumbbell workouts with ease. If you’re not a heavy lifter then this is perfect. However, if you are, I honestly think you are wasting your time. This is recommended (in my opinion) for none heavy lifters who want a little taste and feel of a bench press. However, the quality is really well and would last long if you take care of it.

Wish it didn’t have the foam attached to the bar. Other than that, it’s way more solid than I expected. The clasp mechanism is great, and the way it lets the weights rotate is good. It’s not a full free swing around which I was worried about (because the center of gravity would shift around a lot during movements). Instead it has some resistance so even when the weights rotate it doesn’t throw off the center of gravity much.I tested it with 30 lbs dumbbells on each side and had 0 problem. Idk if it will hold 200lbs but if you really need that much weight just get a normal bar
