Works well on tree farm ranch. I don't have any other chainsaws to compare it too. Online reviewers noted comparable tom more expensive brands. For the money saved. And the work I got out of it. I'd get it again. I drain my fuel tank and run it till the carburetor is dry if I'm going to store it for more than a couple weeks.

Saw was good straight out of the box. I needed another firewood saw as my 272xp is having oiling issues and is 20 years old now. I couldn't justify getting another pro saw for the amount of work I do now. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos and decided to give the echo a try. I cut a full f250 truckload stacked front to back with gas left in the tank. The 272 would have ran out. I expect the echo to get better as I run a few tanks through it. The starting ritual is the same as it was for husky so it was no problem to get running.

I bought this saw based on the reviews. However when I opened the box, the saw looked cheaply made, numerous manufacturing flaws in most of the plastic parts. I’m sure mechanically I think it’s sound. However I did not run it.

This saw is a beast. had to buy a new one because wife ran over old one. It was cheaper to replace it than repair the old one. It cuts through 18 inch mesquite trees like butter. best saw I ever owned. Never failed to start.

This saw performed flawlessly, remember to just crank past the first compress 2-3 times on choke, then push choke and give a good pull it should start right up, if it doesnt, repeat that process. I didnt really use the decompression button yet as i havent found a need. Great product and seller!!

And if you actually read the part of the instructions that explain how to start it and then you actually follow the instructions I think you will like it too.And this was a very good price. ohoh also high quality company which produces high quality products. I have the back pack blower and like that 2 so u should buy that too.

First use out of the box was cutting/logging a large tree that fell. I had a 16" ms170 and it definitely could not have done this tree in a day. The Ehco starts ok. Have to use the choke and decompression. Even when warm I found myself using the choke to start it. Hopefully just needs carb adjustments. Saw starts and runs great. It's a beast. Absolutely no regrets purchasing and love it. I have always loved ehco and am happy to have this saw. The hurricane hit and nobody had any chain saws and were gonna be weeks before getting restocked. Shout out to Amazon for getting this saw to me 4 days after I ordered in the aftermath of the hurricane. Love the saw!

Not only was it D.O.A. but Echo added insult to injury by refusing to honor their warranty. Their excuse was that I bought it from an unauthorized reseller - without ever clarifying whether that reseller was Amazon or someone else. Their rationale is that if it's sold by an "unauthorized reseller" it could have been tampered with. I don't know how someone could tamper with it inside the original, undamaged, sealed box but that's what N------ at Echo said. Amazon came through - YAY AMAZON!! - but Echo was a complete failure. Over the last week everything has been tried, all the appropriate videos on YouTube have been viewed, nothing got even one "pop." Removing the spark plug, which appeared to be brand new, and swabbing the top of the piston produced no carbon. If the saw was ever successfully tested at the factory there would be a small amount of carbon in the cylinder. There was none. Zero. Echo has lost my business, permanently. Amazon, however, is a shining example of how to make it right. Thank you, Amazon. Now I just need to find its replacement - I still need a saw...
