The product itself works the way you wanted to.However, Amazon is trying to help me but so far I’m doubtful I’ll will get what’s owed. In 6 months the 2.5ah battery has failed from the trimmer set. It supposedly has an 3 year warranty. Ego will not replace it because Amazon used a 3rd party seller and they are not authorized dealers. Ego informed me the blower and trimmer aren’t covered Typical modern either. I’ve never heard of a manufacturer not backing up their product so I probably will not buy their products ever again even from Lowe’s. So: DO NOT BUY ANY OF THESE EGO ITEMS FROM AMAZON AS THEY USE 3RD PARTY SELLERS THEY CAN’T CONTROL. YOU WILL BE LEFT WITH NO HELP AND A PRODUCT WITHOUT A WARRANTY

I like the saw fine, but the chain end of the saw is fairly heavy, especially when using the extension part. The tool would be better if engineered so the end opposite the chain end was heavier, making balancing the saw easier.

Great design. Pole saw uses same power head as other available attachments - hedge trimmer, edger, etc.Excellent battery placement and durability. Quick recharges as advertised. Overall excellent value even though pricey

EGO products are powerful, convenient, dependable and sturdy. I own the leaf blower, hedge trimmer and now the pole saw.... Which lives up to those standards!

I have been using EGO products. It is great not to wear ear plugs on a hot summer day. It works great and I know longer have to walk into low limbs when I am mowing.

I love Ego products since they are generally flawlessly designed. However, the oil reservoir leaks when it is hanging in my garage. Supposedly, you need to drain the oil after every use, which is stupid.
