Note:
- Do not tighten the screw unti tightiness of chain is adjusted. Adjust chain tension by using the screwdrive
- If it does not start, please check that the chain saw is installed in the correct direction.
- A properly-tensioned chainsaw chain should still be just a little loose on the chainsaw guide bar, but the chain needs to be tight enough that you can't pull the drive links out of the bar nose, that is about 8mm.

I finally got my money back, not from the seller, but from Amazon after filing a claim. Return shipping was $57 (my loss) and getting a refund took a month. Lesson learned.Incomprehensible instructions made assembly and starting the saw hellishly difficult. Material quality and workmanship is poor. Once assembled and started, it works surprisingly well. Starts on the first pull with 1/4 choke, which was a pain to figure out. Lesson learned, will get DeWalt next time and stay away from no brand tools. Much pain would have been avoided had I taken the time to read reviews prior to purchase. Search Amazon for "Homdox 58CC Pole Saw", there are multiple listings and buyer reviews are insightful.

If you are looking for a working item, DO NOT buy this.Day one 1 1/2 hours just to get it started. Throttle assembly isn’t worth the cost of the materials it’s made of. Complete grip/throttle spins around and there is no control over angle. Then the throttle cable comes out of the trigger and after four reassembles I finally just used the cable hanging from the engine. The shut off switch is not only in the wrong place, it is so sensitive that if you rub the handle against your leg it will shut off. And that means another two or three minutes of trying to start the thing.Day two, 45mins of pulling and trying to adjust the carb, after retrofitting a throttle assembly from an old weed eater and got tired before it started.If you are looking for something to build muscle in one arm or just a workout tool, this is for you. Looking for something that will trim branches and limbs, look elsewhere. If I had the boxes that it came in I would send it back. Already purchased a replacement for this after two days.
