Bought last year (Feb 14th 2024) found out it no longer works on March 1st 2025. I believe a 50 dollar heater should last longer than 1 year!!!!

Have had eheim for years but this heater in particular heats my 55 gallon tank perfectly. Plug on and forget. Always does its job.

If you have an aquarium with marine life, heaters are essential. I have two of these in a 50 gallon aquarium that is located in an unheated green house. This winter there were several days of outdoor sub zero temperatures. I had both set to 75 degrees and the tank stayed at 75 degrees. This is my third unit in this model, going in a smaller tank. The two we are discussing I have had in this the 50 over 5 years. I have had other brands of heaters all with much shorter life spans.

The cord could be longer and should be. The temp sensor is accurate enough but I would advise investing in an Inkbirk or similar monitoring system, especially for any reef system. Suction cups are worthless, just buy an aftermarket magnetic holder. Always buy the largest unit you can to reduce duty cycle and heat transfer efficiency.The last Eheim unit I replaced lasted 3 years of regular use.

I have been using this heater for several months now. It is a high quality heater made in Germany, and has been working well. It is indeed a 150 watt heater, so the "125W" description for this item is incorrect. The heater has an accurate electronic thermostat which maintains the temperature of my aquarium very close to the set temperature. The main difference between the "e" series and the older "Jager" thermostats is that the "e" series has an electronic thermostat and a sturdier power cord. The temperature is very easy to set on this heater. It is fully submersible and has an automatic safety shutoff if it becomes exposed to air.

Great German technology….Just make sure it’s not too large (Wattage) for your tank… it will cause the heater to get too hot or too cold the proper wattage for the proper tank size (watts)is important !

Funcionó excelente mientras duró, desgraciadamente dos meses después dejó de encender.El equipo estuvo siempre conectado a un regulador de voltaje, nunca hubo ningún inconveniente. Tengo otros termostatos de esta marca y ninguno ha tenido problemas, supongo que solo fue este caso.
