From the moment I started using it, it was a struggle. The controls are so confusing and unresponsive that I spent more time trying to figure out how to operate it than actually using it. On top of that, it makes a loud, annoying noise that’s unbearable. This product has turned my simple task into a frustrating chore, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

I am completely thrilled with this counter-top electric kitchen waste composter. It was completely easy and intuitive to get up and running. I'm a long-time gardener and I feel this machine has unlocked the next-level for my gardening journey. I've already processed multiple runs plus a self-cleaning mode run and have lbs of dried, reduced waste. When you select the Auto run it's basically a set-it-and-forget-it type of process as the machine weighs your input and determines the exact amount of time needed to efficiently process the waste for an optimal output. There is a runtime LED display as well as the countdown timer, so you know exactly where it is in the process. The machine has a fairly quiet hum to it during the drying portion and the volume kicks up a bit during the grinding portions, but neither would I categorize as noisy; and there is no rocking or shaking. I have noticed absolutely no smell or bugs thanks to the double odor absorbing charcoal chambers. The self-cleaning aspect just adds to the ease of use. Along with the machine came a nice full-color poster of what CAN and CANNOT be put into the composter and I've laminated and hung this up directly over the kitchen waste composter so that the whole family can be involved in the process. Another impressive thing about this machine is that there are apparently only 3 common "error codes" possible (listed and explained at the bottom of page 1 of the manual) and one of them is that the food waste bucket is out or not put in properly - to me this means that so very little can disrupt or go wrong in the processing runs. The machine's footprint is manageable at approximately 13"l x 9"w (by 13.5" high) and earns its countertop spot. This is a very hefty, well-built and solid machine that thus far we've used every day. This product is very useful for a gardener or anyone wanting to reduce their waste volume.
