I like it better than other fence testers we have had which usually last about a year and a half and crap out seems pretty well made easy to read especially in the evening . It seems pretty well made we keep ours in a ziplock bag and only have it out for just a moment so maybe that will help the longevity down here in this sauna that we live in down on the Gulf Coast it's pretty safe by I would recommend it I think that premier one has switched to this type of fence tester as well.

I purchased this to test the electric wire around my chicken enclosure. It works well. You just put the pointy end in the ground or attach it to your grounding clamp. Then simply hang the hook at the top on your wire and device will light up when it detects a charge. I leave it outside 24/7 and it is holding up well so far.
