Originally I purchased this microscope to help better appreciate my coin collection. After using it to examine approximately 5,000 wheat cents in my collection, I realized that I would be foolish not to use it for work. I operate Recollect to Collect LLC, an auction company based in the United States. When I first plugged in the dual wire included with the microscope, I immediately realized that I had a problem. One of the wires that came with the unit was not working. I immediately contacted Elikliv via email, to my surprise someone wrote me back in under 12 hours. They noted the issue and said they were going to send a replacement immediately. 3 days later I received a package in the mail and to my surprise, expecting only the wire, I received an entirely new microscope with everything, complete and new in the box. I started to use it within 5 minutes and have yet to experience an issue. The microscope has versatility and works great when plugged into my laptop. Easily, I give the unit and the company 5 stars and recommend it for examining anything small, from coins to circuit boards.

I purchased the product to view some old coins I have had for some time. I started watching videos on U-Tube and learning about the value of errors on certain coins, but to really view the coin you needed a microscope. This product was Amazon's Choice, so I purchased it. It was easy to put together. Package arrived intact, on time, and as described. It came with two attachment cords for your choice of set up configuration with your computer to view on a larger screen and take pictures of your coin. Comes with a micro-SD card. It has a rechargeable lithium battery, and it was charged when arrived. You will need to purchase separately a lithium battery charger that does not come with the product. It takes 1-2 hours to charge with a 5V2A adapter. It does come with an Instruction Manual with instructions for use and care. In addition, it contains Contact information for Customer service and support. I am new to coin searching/hobby but look forward to using this product.

I am an avid coin collector and have been searching quite some time for a coin microscope. Everything I looked at was either made of cheap plastic, poor quality, did not come with SD card ability, etc. And when I did find something suitable, it was very high priced and way more than I was willing to spend. I finally found this one on Amazon and I was so excited!!! It has everything I was looking for, it is excellent quality, you can use the SD card, which by the way is included, or hook it directly to your computer or laptop, it is made of metal and very sturdy, and it even has extra adjustable lights on each side, and the price was amazing for this quality. It is absolutely perfect for inspecting my coins and I have found many other uses for it as well, including painting my finger nails, I absolutely love it. It does take a little bit of time to learn how to adjust it while viewing, so give it a little bit of time to get the hang of that. I highly recommend.

I ordered this specifically because it says that the screen is 1080p, but it gives only the choice of VGA or 720. Now I will have to return it.Edit: They have changed the description to reflect the 720p screen, so I changed my rating. I did return it, but from what I saw before discovering that it wasn't a 1080p screen, it seemed to work well and was easy to assemble and disassemble. I think it will work well for anyone who is happy with the screen resolution or who plans to use it connected to their computer screen.

I really wanted to get a stereoscope to display some things for a group of Cub Scouts without access to a computer monitor or them having to look through the eyepiece individually. In the past, either the quality of these scopes was terrible (I'm looking at you "handheld microscope for kids") or you had to get a very expensive professional microscope. I'm seriously impressed with the quality for the price. We were able to clearly look at details as a group which saved time and frustration. It's very cool that it can record or attach to a computer. It has the versatility of a handheld scope and could absolutely be used that way, but the framework it sits in allows it to focus at different heights without losing focus. The lights are very bright and I think that's why this little scope is so successful.SUGGESTION: Don't skimp and go for the ones without built-in lighting. When working with a macro lens, crazy amounts of supplemental light are needed to resolve details well. You want those LEDs.WARNING: I took off a star because the description lies. It is very far from 1000x magnification. Only the best professional microscopes - not stereoscopes like these but real upright microscopes - with 100x objective lenses that use oil immersion can resolve that kind of detail. Even most of the microscopes sold online lie because they don't go down to oil lenses. This scope will allow you to see details you would normally see on the lowest power of a normal scope and is meant for larger items that don't fit under the lens of a microscope. You can view things like insect parts, fingerprints, larger microorganisms in water, details on coins...but not cells or anything. It is handy for counting small things like colonies of cells, however. It's nice to not have to make slides. Just don't expect light to pass through your specimen or to see too much better than you would with a high powered magnifying glass.
