I’ve tried a few different non-slip mats below my under-desk elliptical machine and they are certainly not all the same!Some are thick like mats you put under a full treadmill, and the elliptical machine tends to make dents in it from sitting there. This particular mat is not that thick, so it doesn’t have that problem.Others are thin and tend to curl up on the edges. This mat is flexible and does lay down nice and flat and stay that way.Some mats have an almost slick feeling to the material and don’t really seem very non-slip. This mat has a really nice non-slip silicone pattern on the back side that definitely grips the floor, so the mat doesn’t move. Love that! Unfortunately, the top surface is not as non-slip as the bottom surface, so as I’m pedalling away, my elliptical machine tends to creep forward on the top surface of this mat and I have to get up and readjust it. Not so good!I do like everything else about this mat, including the size (approx. 17 x 24) and thickness (3mm). But it really needs to have as strong of a non-slip grip on the top side as it does on the bottom, then it would be perfect!

This may fits perfectly under our FIT Cube and has added some peace of mind. My wife feared box jumping until this went under the cube, but it holds it nicely done n place! It has also saved our floor from scratches. Price is right too.

This mat was much thinner than I expected, but it does the job. I placed it under my stepper to keep it from sliding as well as protect my flooring, and it does a good job at that. Its rubber on the bottom and smooth neoprene-like fabric on top. In fact, it feels much like a swatch of neoprene.

I received this mat and it’s definitely thin, but it does the job. I put it on top of another mat under my desk so my elliptical wouldn’t leave imprints, and for that purpose, it works well. The non-slip back keeps it in place, so once it’s set, it doesn’t slide around.The material has a rubberized texture on the back, which gives it a little cushion. It’s not thick, so it’s not going to absorb a ton of shock, but you can tell there’s something between you and the surface. Since my elliptical requires a mat anyway, this one does what I need it to do.I’m using it on carpet with another mat underneath, and it helps prevent imprints while staying in place. If you’re looking for a huge, thick mat, this isn’t it. But for the price, it does a great job of protecting the layer underneath.

I was definitely influenced by social media to buy one of those steppers and while they work great I needed something to place under it so it wouldn't damage my floors or have the stepper move around when I'm on it. This mat is the perfect size for the stepper and is slip resistant so I'm not worried about the stepper moving around anymore or having mats that curl up. It's been under my stepper since I got it and it seems pretty durable and has been holding up well. Very happy with this mat and would recommend it.
