This is slightly different than other toilet seats in that instead of making lie on the floor upside down and backwards, you actually utilize rubber plugs that go insert into the ceramic and are then expanded by the screw once the seat is properly aligned, an excellent approach. Once installed, the seat worked perfectly, so no more slammed toilet seats. For cleaning, the seat is easily removed by pressing the two buttons that release it from the pegs for easy lift off.

After using this toilet seat for nearly two weeks, I can confidently say it's been a delightful upgrade to my bathroom. Let's be honest, a toilet seat isn't typically something to get excited about, but this one comes close. The installation was quick and straightforward, taking only a few minutes, and I didn't even need to consult the instructions. This was a welcome relief, as having one less manual to read is always nice. Equipped with metal hinges, it feels sturdy and well-made, offering a comfortable experience every time.I was particularly impressed by the soft-close feature. Gone are the nights of startling noises echoing through the house when someone accidentally lets the seat slam shut; it slowly closes with just a nudge, contributing to a quieter household, especially during those late-night bathroom visits. In terms of maintenance, this toilet seat is easy to clean, which is always a plus. It stays fresh with minimal effort, adding to its long-term appeal. While cleaning it for the first time, I realized how simple it was to maintain compared to other seats I’ve used in the past. The product arrived well-protected in a plastic lining inside the box, ensuring it was brand new from the seller—a small but reassuring detail. As for value, this toilet seat may be slightly more expensive than basic models, but its quality, ease of installation, and features like the soft-close mechanism justify the price. For those looking to upgrade their bathroom with minimal fuss, I highly recommend this product for its comfort and functionality. Giving it a solid 5 out of 5 stars feels appropriate. It's a practical choice for anyone seeking a reliable and user-friendly option.

I'm about to say this, but this toilet seat IS beautiful. In more ways than one. First off, you can feel the quality as soon as you pick up the package. You can absolutely tell this is a solid seat. It's got some good weight to it. It's a nice slick material, and it is the perfect size for bigger bottoms! I'm extremely comfortable on this seat. It's got anti slip pads under the hinges and under the seat are nice sized rubber bumbers to prevent slipping. The hinges are Metal, with metal bolts, NOT plastic! Like the ones that were on my last one. The quality and build of the seat and the hardware is so much better than I truly expected. Very easy to install. Instructions are good if you need assistance.I requested this because I just happened to need a new seat. Moved into a new home recently and the last owners skimped on the toilet seats. My son broke the guest bathroom the first week we were in. I saw this, thinking it would do until I could grab a better one. I really didn't think I would stick with it. There is absolutely no reason for me to get another one, and I'm going to purchase a second one NOW for my other bathroom. It's absolutely worth what they are asking, plus it's truly a nice looking toilet seat. I like the round silver post covers. This should be easy to clean as well. Appreciate the soft, slow close for both my little one fingers and those middle of the night uses!

It's *okay*. I bought two for the two toilets in the home, mainly to avoid inadvertent 'slams' from closing them in the dark when our baby and young child are sleeping, which always seem to wake them up. The mounting system for the seat with rubber columns/gaskets that fit into the porcelain toilet holes are compressed via screw tightening from above the commode (rather than most systems that use a bolt with a nut attached and tightened underneath the commode, which is always cumbersome). It is a 'good idea' to make installation more convenient but they are too narrow (small diameter) for the Mayfair brand commode I have/the fasteners can be pulled out after complete tightening and the seat dislodged since there's not enough friction between porcelain and rubber gasket to keep them in place. They fit/work fine on the American Standard brand commode I have though. The two manufacturers apparently have different size holes in the porcelain used to secure their seats. Why can't they standardize these things?? I would just be cautious about the porcelain hole size for the seat fasteners in your commode when ordering this. The reality is if they just had the 'standard' system of a bolt with a nut on the underside to secure the seat it would be perfectly fine and the seat would stay put without being constantly dislodged. I will also say that the seat itself is a little flimsier/thinner than the soft-close model equivalent sold by a certain national chain orange-themed home improvement store, although theirs is about $10 more. Still, if you divide $10 by 365 poops a year (or 180 if you're a little constipated or pay equal deposits to the two commodes) it's less than a nickel or dime per poop difference (and if you're female or a 'spray wary' male sit-down pee-er) even less per visit, and probably worth the extra cost to just get the sturdier & compatible item from the start. Luckily no one in the household is extremely heavy or has strength issues that make them just flop hard on the seat, but I could imagine these breaking soon if subject to those kinds of forces repeatedly. *Way* more thinking about toilet seats than I ever thought I'd have.
