I love this thing! I work from home and like to sip hot tea all day. This device keeps hot beverages at the perfect temperature—which is handy for slow sipping or when I make the tea, then get busy and don’t drink it right away. The battery doesn’t last a long time on its own, but it’s fantastic to use all day on the power/charging coaster. With the app, you can set your preferred temperature and the device will maintain it. Safety feature: Will shut itself off if not moved/lifted for a long time. It seems frivolous, but it gets daily use and I don’t have to keep remaking tea because it never gets cold with this handy device.

I bought my daughter mother and my father, a full price at Christmas and they kept bragging about how great it was in the cold weather so I purchased this one used I love it.

We've purchased multiple 10 & 14oz cups from this company, and had our share of problems. The original 10oz cup had the inner enamel cracking problem and then the charging plate pin issue. We've had to contact this company on multiple occasions, but we've noticed that the response times were getting longer and longer.The latest issue was one cup's charging light started strobing, two reds, then a green, then repeats. We attempted the power reset, but it had no effect. So we contacted Ember again, and started a five week course in frustration that ended in bupkis.The site's help window requests the model and serial number. We sent that. We waited a week, then got a reply with no answer for the strobing, but that needed a photo of the bottom of the cup for the serial number. Why didn't they ask for that on the initial help page submission? But we sent the photo, waited for nearly two weeks for a reply, and finally sent a reminder. We got a response requiring us to submit a video of the strobing, but again, no explanation. Why didn't they ask for that the first time? Were we the only people on the planet that had experienced this problem and particular strobing code? We replied that we did not know to get them a video as neither of us have e-mail on our phones, but they demanded the video. We finally had a neighbor come over and show us how to get them their video (we're old, LOL).So then we finally received an answer (of sorts): They didn't know what the strobing code meant, the cup was six months out of warranty and they were refusing to replace it, but they offered $20 off a new one.YGBFKU. By the serial number we submitted, Ember knew the purchase date and knew the cup was out of warranty, but didn't tell us. They also knew by our description of the strobing code they would not know what the problem was, but didn't tell us that either, and still demanded a stupid, useless, time-wasting video that they knew they wouldn't have an answer for. Talk about total frustration, in addition to having to chase them constantly for replies and answers.We had also previously pointed out to them that we had purchased four of these over time, but apparently, they do not value customer loyalty. So we had to hassle with photo and video submissions, and then wait five weeks for absolutely nothing. And so this is the last Ember product we will ever purchase.Therefore, BE AWARE: Ember's expensive products are seductively marketed, but that is where all the majority of their money is going, it's certainly not in customer support or hiring and training good people. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK: We spent $125 on this cup less than three years ago, and whatever the strobing light code means, it is most likely destined to fail in the near future. Why would we want to buy another one after this experience? Plenty of competitors have popped up in the last decade, so if we ever get the itch to buy another, we'll try another company.ANybody considering any Ember item should think long and hard about spending that much money on products with a history of problems, iffy functionality and longevity, and terrible support. And don't just take our word for it: Click on "negative reviews" on this or any other Ember product and read the hundreds of other dissatisfied victims stories. Hopefully, after this and a few others, you'll keep your wallet shut.

I have this mug for the office. It works great! It stays charged off the base through two cups for me. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I ordered the red and it's more of a bright orangey red instead of a red red. It's a little shocking how bright it is. But if you like that kind of color, this will be perfect for you.

It’s a pain to have to keep trying to figure out how to make it work, again and again. I’ve had it since Christmas and it will randomly decide not to connect to the app. I dutifully try all the support suggestions, and waste 20-30 minutes following support procedures without success. Then, miraculously it will start to work, only to crap out again in a few days. Why can’t it just work? I love the idea, but the execution is a failure.

The color is the same as pictured. Keeps coffee at perfect temperature and still makes your coffee taste like you just brewed it. The functionality of the app is easy. Perfect weight not too light or too heavy. Great value for money.

I had bought an Ember mug for my husband last year and he absolutely loved it - it keeps his coffee at his preferred temperature for a long time. My husband bought me one for Christmas this year, and it's a game-changer. No more having scalding hot and then quickly room temperature and quickly cold tea. No more having to repeatedly microwave my tea. I set it to the temperature I like, and then even if I get caught up in work and can't get to it for a while, it's still perfect. This has become so core to my day that I splurged on a second one, so I can have one at work and one at home. I can't recommend it highly enough. One note - if you do get one, buy a silicone or rubber spoon, so you don't scratch it all up with a metal spoon.
