Let me say first that it's a nice looking radio. And it's kind of bigger that I thought it would be. I'm a product of the 70's. So I've had plenty of boomboxes in my day. This boombox is solid quality. As far as the sound. It has the sound of the boomboxes from the 70's. Which is ok, but I inspected a more enhanced sound being that it's 2025. If you don't mind that then this product is for you.

40 years ago had a big Emerson boom box it was squarer than my new one Had it at least 3 years and went thru alot. This new one sound is heavy on bass with dual subwoofer. Also spent 40 extra on rechargable D batteries worth it in long run

The description as of my review on August 22, 2024 states "Cassette". This is why a bought it. To have a modern boombox with a rare cassette player. But guess what. Emerson thinks that the retracting front door on this boombox is a cassette player. News flash Emerson: It's a storage compartment for the remote control. If that weren't bad enough, the FM reception is terrible. I get a blast of static every 4 seconds that drowns everything out. Not just a bit of static, but a solid wave of static. And the college radio station I listen too is only about 6 miles away with no buildings in between. My little pocket radios pick up this station with ease and no static. Also, this thing is both literally heavy, and with a fairly heavy price tag at $125. But the sound is meh. You'd think the big weight and size of it would mean it at least has good speakers. Nope. Not terrible sound, but just average. I thought Emerson was a serious company.

It is a great stereo boombox. I have a thing I don't like about it though. Everytime you power it on it has a preset volume of 6 or 7 which is a little loud so you should have your remote or your finger by the volume button ready for when it powers on to lower the volume. I wish it didn't have a preset volume. And it doesn't matter if you set the volume at volume 3 when you turn it off, cause when you turn it off, then back on cause it will be back at volume 7 again. That and my tv remote seems to turn on my stereo also and raise and lower the volume too. So I have to put something in front of the remote sensor so that my tv remote does not activate the boombox stereo.

I bought this for the PA and party lights for rehearsals, classes, and demo recording; and to use as an all-around boombox, and I love it! Feature packed. 2 PA inputs with individual volume controls, FM and AM radio with programmable memory settings, Bluetooth, USB, and CD. 7 gorgeous party light colors with 5 time interval settings. Good sound with 6 EQ settings and it turns up loud.. Sleek remote has its own compartment, which I love. Cool design with wide carry strap. Helpful user manual.. Great price, fast shipping, packed well in attractive box. I first saw this elsewhere for more than double. Super fun. LOVE!

I ordered the NPB-262 MP3/CD Boombox because it had a cd player, and I currently only have a Playstation to play my audio cds on. I got it in a timely manner, but sadly discovered that half of the features don't work. CD player and USB do not work at all. The radio does, and the blu tooth, but that is it. Sound quality is slightly better than an alarm clock radio. It's loud, but not great sounding. Amazon stepped up and made it right for me, but I'd avoid this radio unless you're a big fan of being disappointed.

It was working great up until New Years Eve went to turn it on and it keeps shutting off for no apparent reason, needless to say it should last longer than 8 months, I wont be ordering this again, just a waste of money i would say.

If I d relied on all the negative reviews I never would have bought it,I'm glad I did. And let me tell you why. I think that its childish children writing such bad reports f disappointment, because for 106$ this little machine is pretty awesome in my book. I've been an electronics nut for a long long time and am pretty judgemental when it comes to junk that breaks quick or is flimsy. I was pretty set back when I read all the bad that was said about it. Let me clearThe air on a few reports. One was amount of USB recognition,in my test approximately the first 1000 songs will be playable.volume, was good ,not the loudest, not the bassist extreme, but the bass is there noticeably and did not distort at max volume in most instances.with batteries its a bit heavy yes,the strap is heavy duty ,no worries.light display is nice and bright. If you are only going to play rap music this is not for you,but I you're going to play country or rock this sounds great. Rap people go get a jvc kaboom, because that's the only thing that will satisfy that requirement. I'm very happy with it and give it 5 stars.

( May 29, 2015)Very disappointing! Weak volume and very very very weak base and the sound horrible. Not worth your hard earned money! Good thing I own a Logitech Z-5500 other wise I would be crying for the crappy performance this boombox has.DO NOT BUY! looks great and well that's about it.....(April 13 2017) If your looking for a good boombox get the Sharp GX-M10 boombox I've had it for a year now and it still sounds awesome! and lots of bass even has a bass boost function which the NAXA greatly lacks.
