Your cart is empty.The Squids® 3011 Retractable Tool Lanyard is a lightweight and extremely durable tethering solution designed to mount to a D-ring user’s belt or a separate anchor point. Using a retractable lanyard limits potential snag hazards compared to standard lanyards. This lanyard can tether tools weighing 0.5lbs / 0.23kg in a retracted state and prevents tools weighing 8lbs / 3.6 kg from falling on people or objects below when working at-heights. The retractable tethering cord is made of high-strength, cut-resistant Dyneema® with a protective sleeve over the exposed cord to reduce wear and tear for a longer life. The durable ABS plastic housing is textured for better grip and is designed to protect the internal workings of the retractable. Featuring a tapered cord exit to limit the debris being retracted back into the housing with the cord. Even with its incredible durability this heavy-duty retractable lanyard weighs less than 0.5lb / 0.23kg and measures 48in / 122cm when fully extended. HOW TO USE The anchoring end of the retractable features a swiveling carabiner connection for anchoring to d-rings or other locations. The connecting end of the cord has a patented Squids® double-action carabiner to secure to a hand tool weighing up to 8lbs / 3.6 kg. A trigger switch allows you to set your working length and keep the lanyard at a fixed length, so you don’t feel a constant tension on your tool while getting the job done. To lock the cord in place, simply flip the trigger switch at the desired cord length. To retract, either flip the switch back or pull the lanyard out a bit further to release the lock allowing the cord to retract again. TESTED & APPROVED Tested and qualified to the ANSI/ISEA 121 standard, these retractable tool lanyards have no equal. The tethering cord is designed to expose a red length of cord that serves as an impact indicator if the lanyard sees a force of 110lbs / 50 kg or greater, letting you know if a drop has occurred. All tool lanyards are built to withstand defined weight limits and are easy to use by any worker to avoid accidentally dropped objects that could cause unwanted damage, injuries, or possibly death. Safety lanyards are a part of an overall fall protection plan to reduce the risk of falling objects and increase workplace safety. When working at-heights it’s critical to tether tools.

Absolutely garbage! Unless you only want to attach a screwdriver. But this thing can't even retract a 1 pound object. Very disappointed! For $100 what a rip off

This is a retractable tool tether, designed to keep your tool from falling while working over head, these are great for anyone working at heights, they're not made to hold your tool with out a pouch. They're only designed to keep your tool from falling and hitting someone or equipment, they do the job but the lanyard should be made out of a wire not a synthetic cord. They tend to wear out over months time and snap. They definitely keep you from getting snagged when climbing, moving around scaffolding, or keeping your tools from getting tangled

Die Rolle wirkt auf den ersten Blick sehr robust- fast etwas klobig. Aber das soll kein Problem darstellen. Allerdings ist die verbaute Technik unterirdisch. Von den 3,6 kg, die sie halten soll ist nichts zu sehen. Es können ungefähr 500 g an die Rolle gehängt werden.Und die gesamte Verarbeitung ist auch eher unterdurchschnittlich. Alles in allem rate ich vom Kauf ab.

Works great for tethering your impact to your tool belt. I use a dewalt impact and a tape measure holder/clip to secure to my belt and suspenders. I attach this retractable to my suspenders and it avoids dropping my impact while working from heights.

Honestly disappointed with this I’ve tried all the models the 3011, 3010, and 3002 and none of them None! Can hold my 2.5 pound barcode scanner! 2.5lbs and as soon as I clip it too the 3011 my scanner just drops down to the ground!I honestly was hoping for a great product, I do love the Caribbean clips over the hammerhead gear keeper ( the clip my company gave me) but the 3011 can’t even hold a 2.5lb scanner! It’s sad to say but looks like I’ll be returning this and just getting another hammerhead gear keeper.

This tool has some unfair reviews. Ive used this while building a garage. I used it to arrest the fall of my cordless impact wrench. It weighs about 4 pounds. It works spectacularly. The twist lock carabiners work really nice, the retract has just the right amount of pull. If other purchasers would read the description, it states it will hold a tool weighing UP TO half a pound up. It will safely arrest the fall of a tool weighing up to 8 pounds. People seem to think this thing will zip a 5+ pound tool back to their hip. Come on people, read the description. If it had more tension on the retract mechanism, it would be a bear to use properly as you'd be fighting the mechanism trying to use the tool. This worked flawlessly. It will get a lot more use as I'm up on a ladder finishing my project. If you are looking for something to prevent an accidental drop from a ladder, roof etc. Give this a shot. If you want to zip retract a sledge hammer to your side, buy a winch.

This thing is absolute garbage for how premium the price is. Advertised as 8lbs, but the thing can't even hold 2 pounds.
