I've only used it a few times but so far so good. I like the IR temp as I can now tell how hot the exhaust manifolds are and other components before touching them (saves on the finger burns). I hope the rest of the units functions work just as well. It looks good and I like the case, so I would think it would. I have a digital timing light as well, so one of these weekends I'll hook up the timing function and compare that to my timing light. Hopefully they will match up.

Purchased ES597iR set and first time I went to use rpm clamp found out the magnets in the pick-up were broken. Anyone else have this problem

While expensive, this tool will do nearly anything a car/motorcycle mechanic could want. Appears to be well- built and accurate. I also like the included case with the soft foam insert that has cut-outs for the tool and accessories.

Overall good product. Lots of functions. Tachometer is slow to adjust to engine rpm but is fairly accurate. Havent used the thermometer much yet but im am happy with my purchase.
