Tries many other brands of mag carriers by far this just does it job right but too well. The mag will not fall out due how tight the inner kydex material is clamping onto the mag.

This are excellent quality but I rates them as four stars due to the excessive mage retention, especially with aluminum mags.

Perfect for a belt magazine setup, easily remove and re index STANAG pattern AR mags with ease, works great with all of my PMAGs and easily attached to my belt's molle with the Malice clips. I bought the fake single pistol kydex pouches and you can really feel the difference in material between the two.

Esstac makes the best bang for buck quick release pouch on the market, as far as I know, and I love them.Unfortunately, I think they leave their shipping department on autopilot and spend all their time at the range or something, because they have next to zero customer service response. If they mess up your order, it's like climbing Mount Everest to get it fixed. So, I like getting them through Amazon, where I know they'll help me if I have a problem.I'll be buying many more of these. Mostly get the Shorties for belts (I wish they carried the "Naked" ones), and the midlengths for carriers., and I just buy one or three here and there, as I can afford to.This kydex retention method is the best there is. Better than the ones held together by shock cord. I guess itsa tradeoff. Do you want to carry around extra shock cord (I do, but still) for when it deteriorates (not to mention most of that stuff glowing under IR), or do you want to be able to heat up the bends and press them in to increase the tension, whenever they come loose (like, in the field)? In my opinion, this is the cutting edge of magazine retention, and the only ones I want right now. Great product.
