Awesome little device once you understand how it works. Setting up via Apple Homekit with a thread border router device (Apple TV) was very easy. Since it's matter certified, I paired it to my Home Assistant as well. Works great. Only issue were the readings which at first seemed to be inaccurate. If installing somewhere outside, the trick is to mount it on a wall or post in the shade. Keep it out of direct sunlight at all times. The device will heat up and give you bad readings.

I'm very disappointed in this device - the display is mostly unreadable (no backlight and very poor contrast even with new/full battery) though I'm not too concerned about that as I was going to use this outdoors for remote reading. The main problem is that the device is inaccurate. it is off by 0.3C (the device reads 0.3C higher than the actual temperature) which is a lot of error for such an expensive temperature/humidity sensor. I contacted the manufacturer and they said this is acceptable and within spec, and that there is no way to calibrate the device, or compensate in the app/etc for the error. This is a big issue when trying to detect when it reaches freezing outside. I have several other far cheaper temperature sensors that are all far more accurate than this one. The humidity value reads correctly though.I would definitely not recommend this device (my return window has unfortunately closed), it is not very accurate (esp for the price) and the display is essentially unusable, even in bright sunlight.

Used it for 5 days, at the low power settings, and it already says I need to change the battery. AND it doesn't take a rechargeable battery, but a disposable battery. Do no recommend until they update to a better version.

I haven't had the apparent battery problems. It's sat on my desk, and it's fine for measurements, etc. It connects fine. But flatly, it's hard to read. The inverted LCD face makes the device necessary to be directly face on, or you can't read it. Most LCD screens are easy to read, but this one is the opposite. I would avoid it simply for that reason alone. If you don't need to read from the device, I guess you're good then… but you have other options.

Will not stay connected for more than an hour or so, then randomly reconnects several hours later.. Does not matter if it's in the same room 10 feet away or 20 feet away through one wall. Works great the 2-hours per day it's actually accessible, but the other 22 hours out of the day it's worthless...EDIT/UPDATE: 29 days later and the battery already needs to be replaced. EDIT/UPDATE 9 months after purchase it stopped working and would not turn back on - just tossed into the trash. absolute waste of money.

Received the device today. After unpacking the device, I noticed that it arrived a dead battery. So, I put more money into this and purchased a new one. The the device refuses to pair with Amazon or Apple HomeKit. The degrees is in celsius and I cant change it to Fahrenheit until it is paired.Sending back. A waste of time and money.

I wanted a temperature and humidity sensor for my porch that would connect to my Apple Home. And that’s what it did. Things I like, 1) no account needed to setup, 2) all I had to do was click add accessory within Apple Home and scan the sticker, 3) it works on Matter. One small con: it’s automatically setup for Celsius and I needed the Eve app to change it to Fahrenheit.

No problem connecting this device to my existing Apple Home setup, but was expecting something more than just another temperature sensor listed under the "Climate" section of the Apple Home app. There's no easy dummy-proof means of creating notifications to tell you when the temperature is below or exceeds a certain threshold, but there are third-party apps out there you can apparently use to configure such things, but disinterested in doing that and just want stuff to work. Really just wanted the device to notify me when the temperature was approaching freezing, but it does not do this natively via the Home app (there are automations you can create that turn lights off or on, but that's about it).The humidity sensor is trash. The device is outside as I type, and it is pouring rain, but the Eve Weather says the humidity is 35%, while my interior HomePod Minis are reading 49%-50%.Basically this thing is an outdoor wi-fi capable digital temperature sensor, but guess it's better than a $200 "weather station".
