I have many Feit product and I absolutely love them. They last, they are reliable and good customer service.I give 4 starts because the doorbell notifications do not differentiate between movement and person detection. I had wyze before and it always notified whether its a person, pet, package or just a motion (like wind, lightning)Also the angle doesn’t give too wide view like my previous camera did.

Not sure about these other complaints, I hired a contractor to install this (normal door bell, not ‘SMART’). This calls to your phone (on the app) and chimes in your house (you have to click the pen icon next on the top next to the name and select mechanical chime). It might be faulty, but unless you have the Feit app opened, then you can see the phone call ring. It doesn’t seem to send a notification on your phone (like a normal phone call).

Feit Smart Doorbell. May 2024.1. Doorbell rings constantly nonstop.2. Never produces red Light indicating ready to pair, cannot get to it in software.Facts: Standard 2006 house with one AC transformer and two mechanical doorbells, very simple.Prior experience: 3 Feit Security Cameras with lights installed and working for over 1 year. Many negatives here talk about certain issues regarding instructions and even power. That seems to be solved. My 2006 house with one AC transformer and very basic doorbell and two wires did not work with a new Feit Smart Doorbell. I have 3 Feit security cameras with lights outdoors with installed memory cards, all work as expected and am very pleased. The camera doorbell with no battery and simply two wire to existing doorbell wiring and system should be a breeze. But when connected the doorbell rings constantly, no red light comes on indicating it is ready to pair. Never got to the software part as the doorbell is closing the connection and ringing, but not showing power on and ready to pair.Previous doorbells:RING brand worked perfectly for pressing and ringing inside house with 2 wire connection.Removed because the app was so bad at answering the door it was undependable and useless.Blink Doorbell: Works mechanically with two wires, app works well, removed to have less apps to manage. Will go back to Blink, as it works like it should.I was so looking forward to a Feit Doorbell, but I guess it will never be.

This camera is by no means perfect, but if you read reviews for other doorbell cameras, you know none of them are. This is, however, quite good the vast majority of the time. It will occasionally disconnect from the WiFi, but to be fair it is pretty far from the router and always reconnects itself. It also will detect movement if a bug flies by the camera at night. All that aside, it records the pictures and videos locally, so no subscription, and it's been powered on 24/7 for over six months straight without any issues. I'd call that a win, highly recommended.

Had a ring doorbell and got rid of it because of the subscription. Well the ring doorbell was better for quality and for catching all of the movements. This one still has pretty decent quality and you dont need subscription, but it misses a lot more than the ring did.

got it mounted, installed sd card, wifi connected,...which took me a few tries resetting, instructions were good,i struggled w wifi name/password but thats cause I'm tech challenged,in the app you can choose mechanical chime,or electronic chime, which is why my physical ding dong wasnt ding donging, now it is,it does pick up cars driving by,i set motion to low, and you can adjust the area,as our proud american flag triggers it in a breeze,im still learning the features ...it has a usb plug,if you want to bring it inside i guess,i ended up using small wire nuts, the angled plate was nice bonus, wish the reset button was accessed without loosening the torx screw,it has lots of app features like device sharing images, and video,im glad im getting it figured out,ill get a 128gb sd card,as 32 was what i had on hand, reading reviews shows me other feit products can be used with same app,so far we are liking the doorbell ,knowing your 2.4g wifi name, and password a plus, otherwise i wouldve paired much easier, had my brain twisted ,but all good now,i like the notification, and soon will test the audio 2 way ,you just have to play with setting or watch videos,i hope it holds up,no subscriptions is great
