How to make pickles at home?
1. Wash the glass jar’s inside and out with clean water, and then buckle over to drain the water inside the jar.
2. Prepare a soup pot, pour 1.5L of water, add 1 cinnamon bark, 3 star anises, 3 bay leaves (you don't need to put it), and then add about 100g of edible salt, or you can add one or two pieces of rock sugar. Then boil and simmer for three to five minutes to let the boiled brine completely cool.
3. The cutting boards, knives, and drain baskets for cutting vegetables must not be stained with grease.
4. Wash the prepared vegetables and drain the water.
5. Before putting in the materials, clean the inner wall of the jar with high-grade liquor.
6. Put the prepared vegetables into the glass jar.
7. After all the ingredients are put in, add an appropriate amount of white wine, and then pour in the cold brine.
8. Finally, cover with the lid and pour clean water on the edge of the altar to seal it. Always pay more attention to the water in the jar, remember to add water and seal it in time every week.
9. You can eat the pickles in ten days.

The jar is good but I wish the neck was another inch bigger, makes it really hard to put in shredded cabbage. My second fermentation jar is just a big widemouth glass jar and I kinda prefer it over this one for that reason.

This product arrived on time and intact. Overall, it is what was advertised.My personal opinion is, the glass is light weight and cheap. The overall look is cheap. But the cost of the product is cheap, i guess (no idea on traditional cost of this item).IT IS NOT American custom standard wide mouth mason jar size. Therefore, wide mouth glass weights do NOT fit inside. I made this mistake and now have weights that will not work.Overall, it is nothing fancy but looks as if it will get the job done. However, it does feel like weak glass that will chip or break easily. So, its durability is questionable if it has any at all.

As an experienced home canner, I wanted to do more fermentation. Bought this jar to ferment limes and lemons and it did not disappoint. Beautiful glass. It has an outer rim with glass cap to prevent air entering the jar but allowing the jar burping on its own without disturbing air seal.

We love it but we had user error . We used the glass puck to hold down fermentation products and ended up getting stuck. Had a catastrophe getting it back out because it was a tight fit . We will be buying again and use the correct glass puck .
