used for a shop built hollowing rig. only thing is that you will want to touch up the carbide cutter. otherwise no issues to state.

This particular tool is my favorite at the moment for small hollow form pieces. I made my own oak handle for it and have not had any problems at all! Such a smooth cut and it hogs out material if you want!

This carbine tip tool is excellent for smoothing edges on outside and inside of my turned wood projects. It cuts the wood well and sometimes too well. As a beginner at turning, I think it is just learning how to use the tool properly.I would definitely recommend this product.I did use it to make a hardwood handle for it. It looks great.

very sharp. cuts amazing. my only gripe is that the shank is very thick, and my rest should go down another half inch for optimal positioning. Even still, happy with my purchaseEdit: went to re tighten the carbide insert, and it snapped into 3 pieces. I didn't even have a lot of pressure applied at all. be VERY careful.
