I don’t write many reviews but this thing deserves one. It took about 30 seconds to hook it up and works perfectly. Just plug into the fireplace and a smart plug, that’s it. Works great!

Literally 5 minutes to set up the smart plug and 5 minutes or less to install the product. BUT, it only lasted about 6 weeks before failing. Perhaps not built for the heat of being so near to the firebox? Anyway, very short term success and then major failure.

Super easy to install. just screw to the existing connections on the fireplace gas controller. you need to buy a plug with wifi if you want to control it with google or alexa. I got a pack of Globe Electric Wi-Fi Smart plugs from Home depot for 10 bucks on sale that connect to Alexa. So now it will work with either the switch on the wall or voice control. you will need to download an app for the smart plugs to set them up for your wifi, but once set up you never need to use the app again. One thing to note is that if you turn it on with the wall switch you need to turn it off with the wall switch, the voice doesn't over ride the wall switch. but with voice control, why even bother using the wall. Love it!

Worked like a charm. Instructions and parts were great. Only took 2 minutes to hook up to my fireplace and it also retains control from the wall switch in addition to Alexa commands.

No need to access internal low voltage switch on fireplace. Also allows on/off on a schedule using smart switch app. Must be able to access your 120V plug to power the switch. Mine was tucked away so took a bit more work. But works wonderfully with Google voice and the app for the smart plug.

When I popped open my fireplace. I was a bit intimidated. Lots of wires. Sent a few questions over to the seller and answered them pretty quickly. Took all but 10 minutes to install. Easy Peasy !! Only thing is you have to separate the splitters a bit. You can pry it to open up with some needle nose pliers. Plugged it in synced the plug with alexa and POW. I used the alexa plug to make sure an app was required with the plug. Now can control the fireplace before getting out of bed in the morning to warm up home

We ordered this back in 2020, it worked so well until this year. The first time we tried turning it on this year it wouldn’t work. We reached out to the seller to see if there was a warranty and they said there was a 1 year warranty on the product. They assisted us in identifying the issue and as soon as the issue was clear that it was an internal break in the connector, they shipped us a new one at no cost to us. The new one is working great and I would absolutely recommend buying this product from this seller!

Install is a breeze and worked perfectly. Great idea using a solenoid to remotely control my fireplace with Alexa voice. Cheers!

This device works perfectly with our gas fireplace and integrates with Alexa with no problems. We got the "Model d244". It seems that different customers may not always get the exact same device?? Even on the TV xStream website, it tells you to enter the specific URL that is labeled on your device to find instructions for your particular model. (for this one, it is https://www.tvxmedia.com/d244) In the Amazon description, it clearly states "Must be used with a smart plug to operate using your voice". For the device we received, this is NOT true. This device is a stand-alone smart switch and connects to wifi using the eWeLink smart phone app (very easy). You then enable this skill in the Alexa app, and go from there. We've been able to set it up with our Echo 4th generation to have the fireplace turn off/on at specific room temperatures. Pretty cool! Two things I really wanted to mention--see the photos I included. #1--in the instructions, it says those 2 red lights "must be lit" for the switch to work. Our button 2 light did NOT stay lit--would only light up while the button was being pressed, then turn off when button released. However, the unit works perfectly. So, I would say ignore that part of the instructions. #2--our set-up under the fireplace is different from others they mention. I tried connecting the unit to the "TH" and "TPTH" as instructed, but this didn't work. We already had an old remote switch connected via those black wires in the photo. I simply left these connected to the fireplace module, disconnected them from our old switch, and reconnected them to the new TV xStream device (it is very easy to re-wire the TV xStream device--you just loosen a couple small screws and the wires detach/re-attach similar to wiring a speaker). Hope this helps someone out there!

First off, this product works, and works well. However, the directions/pictures could have been much better. I have a switch that turns on my fire place. If you do too, and you don't have the TH and TH TP male ends on your unit, follow the instructions below*:*My fireplace is brand new (not sure the brand) and yours might be completely different. See pictures for more details. And always proceed with caution when working with electrical and gas.First, put the 2 to 1 adapters on both ends of the red cables from the relay box.Second: Find the wire that runs from the switch on your wall.Third: Disconnect the switch wires from the coupler that they are in on your fireplace unit.4th: Place one of the wires you just disconnected into the other male end of the 2 to 1 adapter.5th: Repeat step four with the other wire.6th: Plug one of the 2 to 1 adapters into the coupler you took the wire out of in step 3.7th: Repeat with other 2 to 1 adapter, in the other coupler.8th: Now connect the USB cable to the relay box.9th: Plug the other end of the USB cable into dumb plug and plug that into your smart plug (not included).10th: Plug that into your AC outlet in your fireplace (assuming you have). If you haven't already paired your smart plug make sure to do so and you should be good to go!Note: My fireplace ignition unit had an electric plug. I kept that plugged. Not sure what happens if you remove it, I didn't attempt that because everything work while leaving it plugged in.This set up will allow you to use both your wall switch and your voice to turn on and off you fireplace.Hope this helps!

This is a great economical, simple and effective solution to automating your fireplace- the best by far! Some people might question why they did not package a smart plug together with this device- the answer is because it would definitely be more expensive, and most people with automation in their house will want to stay with 1 manufacturer this way one app controls all the automation. In my situation I use Meross smart plugs that control about 5 different things in my house- I have 1 app that all of these fall under. If they were to supply smart plug, it might be a different manufacturer and I would not be able to group it with my Meross app. I just love this solution and a very fair price for what it accomplished and the ease of installation!
