The hard case and metal zipper feel pretty solid, which is great. But the zipper's fabric part is the weak link—it’s not fire-coated. Plus, it's only water-resistant, not waterproof, so your documents aren’t completely safe from water damage. The combination lock is a convenient feature but it's a little flimsy.At first, I thought maybe I just missed those details in the product description. But now that I have it, I kind of regret not going for a fully waterproof bag instead. Especially at this price point, since some other brands even throw in EMF protection.Honestly, I wouldn’t feel comfortable keeping something like passports in this box. I’ll probably just use it for papers I can replace without too much hassle. It’s okay, but definitely not perfect for peace of mind. The main body itself is impressive. But for the price, you can get something else that would keep your important documents safer and put your mind at ease.

This is really nice. It's a bit smaller than I had hoped, but it fits what's important. I have to go meet with people often right now and I tend to "appear" disorganized. I'm actually extremely organized, but it doesn't look that way because I have this tendency to just get things done and will grab anything that is convenient, usually that's a paper bag from the grocery store. I move fast, I'm efficient and I really don't care what anyone else thinks of my "look". To me being competent is what counts, but people judge you by your appearance and having a polished look can actually make you more efficient because people take you more seriously and you become a priority. This often saves time. To me that makes no sense, but it is what it is and this organizer has a quality and professional look. It's very well built. I don't know if it's fireproof, but if it is that's a definite plus. I give this a candid approval of highly recommended.

This is a good upgrade from a typical soft plastic document organizer.It zippers closed and has a lock, which will discourage inadvertent loss of contents or a curious toddler.As noted in the description, this organizer is not waterproof for full immersion due to having a zipper closure.Due to the zipper, and the lack of a water-infused layer to protect against heat, I wouldn't personally rely on this to protect valuables or irreplaceable documents in a house or vehicle fire.Keeping that in mind, it's got a lot of storage, and is well constructed.Recommended.

Smells really bad. I'm not sure how fireproof it is, but it needs to be stored far away from the air your family breathes. Also the file part cannot be labeled without a marker or pen because the place you would insert labels is opaque. I have bought other fireproof bags before that were better quality and did not stink. I do like the zipper over hook and loop access.

While I haven't set this case on file to test it or anything, it's a nice case that seems quite secure and is definitely roomy, with lots of pockets. The outer body is hard shelled and rigid but not immovable, if that makes sense. It's definitely not a fireproof box, so if you want something more like a safe this may not be for you. I consider it more like a hard shell suitcase where there's give at the seams. It comes with the colorful plastic sleeves for keeping papers organized and paper tabs for labeling. Both sides have the inner mesh pockets, too. The zipper quality is great with a smooth slide and function. If you're looking for a more portable alternative to a metal box, I'd recommend giving this one a try. So far, so good!

Great for organization and peace of mind. This file is bigger than you think. It’s able to store a lot of things and claims to be fire proof. That’s some that I’m not going to test. It’s semi secure with the lock, and being the color black it’s professional and is inconspicuous. The only thing that I don’t like about this is the sticky feel of the case and that it has a feint smell, which I’m sure will go away over time.

Stay organized in style, that's the first thing that comes to mind when I look at this portable accordion file case.I love and adore that it comes with a lot of different color dividers and more than enough space to hold things from household bills and records to things that pertain to my small business makes me very happy. The fact that it's waterproof and made of sturdy durable material is a nice bonus as well.I actually used the back to pockets to keep receipts and recipes in so I feel like I have a little mobile office inside of this thing. It's lightweight in and of itself so the only way you really have to contend with is what you add to it with whatever you choose to file away inside it.
